I had searched and searched for an amp rating for the 7-pin plugs and the only thing I could find consistently was people claiming around 15 amps.

Yeah, Thankfully he posted a picture, which was worth about 5 posts plus the thousand words, and it all made total sense after that! For 20 bucks (USD) he can solve his problem.Give up on the AC power thing folks. It's clear that's not what he's after. It was just poorly phrased.
OK the AUX12v+ charging pin is 30 Amp

Next question (I hope is worded easier), is there constant power there at the trailer plug or will it shut off after the engine is off?Yeah, Thankfully he posted a picture, which was worth about 5 posts plus the thousand words, and it all made total sense after that! I posted the truck side since that's what he's looking at to take his power from, but it won't matter if he buys a ready-made adapter for 12v accessories.
Constant on the JT. It's how I powered some things while camping (before I added the same thing in the bed) and how I keep my batteries charged.Next question (I hope is worded easier), is there constant power there at the trailer plug or will it shut off after the engine is off?
I think you said you just plug in a trickle charger to that 7 way power outlet to charge your battery?and how I keep my batteries charged.
A BatteryMinder 1500mA plugged into outlet and a cord running to the trailer connector.I think you said you just plug in a trickle charger to that 7 way power outlet to charge your battery?
That's pretty slick. I like it a lot. I'm going to have to do that. I have Battery tenders all almost all of my equipment... that looks like the way to go on a JT.A BatteryMinder 1500mA plugged into outlet and a cord running to the trailer connector.

Shadow was my wife's favorite cat a few years ago. Adopted from ARL. He was literally her shadow. She'd tease him by hiding and making little sounds and he'd come looking for her. If he couldn't find her, he'd sit in the hall and cry. That's pretty slick. I like it a lot. I'm going to have to do that. So as a side note regarding your 'Handle'; I guess that your cat follows you around?
No such animal that I'm aware of. However.... I have a 50 amp DC service from my battery to an Anderson connector that goes to my DC to DC charger. You will have to run the wire(s) from a fused point (best near the battery) and make sure your alternator has the capacity.I’m trying to find a power adapter that plugs into our trailer multi pin that I can just plug a normal extension cord into. I’ve spent some time looking for this but haven’t found anything. Anyone know of such adapter?
Is it always hot on the JL gasser?Constant on the JT. It's how I powered some things while camping (before I added the same thing in the bed) and how I keep my batteries charged.
It never shuts down in the JT
It is NOT on constantly on a JLU 4xe........ dang, can't charge the 12v battery from the trailer connector on my wife's Jeep..
That one I can't answer - I'd expect it to be, but then, I expected it to always be hot on the 4xe as well.Is it always hot on the JL gasser?
