    I think the Jeep is a soccer mom mobile now as well, so wave is fading. It more of a not wave to a JT thing around my town. I could drive past same person in my neighborhood with my JK and they be waving. get in the JT get nothing

    I didn't think the camera was standard on geo pro unless you are talking about the Jeep. I thought was backup camera ready but not integrated on geo pro.

    congrats on the new camper - Yes for sure - you should not tow without a controller at all. I believe it is illegal in some states and no reason to take a chance with new Jeep and new camper. Spend the few bucks and get a nice controller; backup camera optional. I use a Redarc tow pro elite...

    Plugs are the same pinout is not. The ram harness does have a diode inline but you have to switch two colors. I can't remember which two but someone on the forum posted once. Also tek recently released a harness for JT. I think it is blue and black

    Yes obviously the wireless ones are exempt . This is referring to hard wired controllers. Those that plug into the 7 pin not included

    Dam I wish this was out months ago . I used a Redarc diode with a Curt harness and the Redarc controller.

    Mostly overtime the back talk could create issues . Did you ever press the override without a trailer connected? Not that you would but ..that will illuminate your dash. Here is quote from Redarc support just don't want you to have issues in future. "I have done some research regarding this...

    Jeep didn't include a diode so all aftermarket controllers will require a diode to prevent back talk to the Jeeps computer. Otherwise you will get some errors on the dash when you use the override and prob some future issues. Unless you use a harness with a diode which I think tek makes one...

    I used this one and I did have some issues just FYI - I know other on here do like it though. It not really secure in the 7 pin andyYou have to unlock and find your phone to press override if trailer sways. Mine actually broke after a week the left brake light wasnt working - Amazon refunded me...

    I cant imagine a new trailer at that weight that doesnt have electric brakes.
