Haha! Here I am driving in circles trying to burn off this tank of discount gas so I can see if it's just a case of bad gas. If you're not familiar, Safeway is a grocery chain in Northern California but it's parent company is multi state so it's like buying gas from Costco or Wallmart. Who knows...
So much to take in! For now I'm going to try a better quality fuel than than the Safeway brand.....
It's so hard to resit that 70 cent a gallon discount after a trip to the grocery store ;-)
Hmmm I started getting the same thing a couple days ago. I'm around 2000 miles in and it just started a slight ping under load like on a hill or something and in a low gear. I'm wondering if it might be a winter fuel change?
I had the same concern a few weeks back. In the first few weeks, I couldn't get past 13.5 mpg but at that time I hadn't really taken it on a road trip. My home is in an urban environment with lots of steep hills so it's down to the freeway... Heavy accelerating to get on then 70+ for three exits...
Yeah I'm right there with you on that plan.... Too bad the other half doesn't feel the same way ;-) I'm heading to the dealer to cancel my maintenance plan now that I find out I have Jeep Wave so I''' bring it up then.
I came across this great review from Autotrader. This caption pretty much sums up what I'm feeling with my Mojave. It definitely loves the rougher roads...It's eats up what my Audi would surrender to but is subservient to a downhill bumpy negative curve at high speed.
It is what it is ;-)...
Thanks SloW8 !
Agreed about the confidence at high speed. On a 5 lane freeway packed with semis and idiots it gets pretty dicey but I'm not sure if it's a steering issue or just the nature of the beast. My daily driver was an Audi a3 that you couldn't peel the tires from the pavement by I've...
Thanks Genoa! It seems like there is mixed feelings on the issue depending on where you're coming from. I came from an Audi as my daily driver and a 2014 Tacoma 4x4 as my weekend ride and it's definitely not going to track like my sticky little A3 but it is a little floaty on the multi-lane...
Hey @miko. Did you ever solve your wind noise? I have the same issue and have narrowed it down to the door gasket at the windshield on the passenger side. I can tape it off or throw a rag in the crack and totally kill the leak. But I'm not sure what's going on.... Bad seal or bad door...
I'm just over 1000 miles on my Mojave and the steering floats a little on the highway but I never had a 4x4 that didn't. In your experience has the Mojave's suspension eluded the dreaded loose steering or are Mojave owners having problems as well.
Why is this video not getting any traction? So much great information here. My college buddy is an engineer for Ford and I totally miss our dinner conversations during covid!
