I know there have been a few people on here with some quality issues with the A.R.E so you may want to look them up just to see what u should look out for but seems like most people love them.
I had a Metal cloak gamechanger coming but it was stolen in transit I think I may reorder with Clayton because of the taller and heavier springs as I plan to load the rear down with gear and the metal cloaks just seem too soft. plus they have the bundle with the Currie steering.
Awesome man I really appreciate it. Totally makes more sense now that you explained the leveling kit. I'll remember to ask for another bolt just in case.
Thanks again.
How did you get that upper control arm bolt out? This actually has me a little worried I was going to get the 3.5 in overland plus for the 38s I have specifically because I have heard people say Clayton ran tall but your only getting 2.5 out of the 3.5 springs?
I have a full lift and tires soon on the way after the first shipment was stolen. Anyway, I plan to do the install with some buddies but I have heard there is a particular bolt on the diesel that is almost impossible to get out because of the placement of the emissions equipment. I haven't...
I would have totally been down had my tires and lift kit not all been. stolen in the freight process. Im on the TN KY border so hopefully you go again in the future hoping to get new stuff ordered and on by march
personally, i hate larger rims on jeeps i always say go the smallest possible rim size of the tire so i say factory. I'm not a huge fan of the factory rims tho but i still pick factory
im In on this.
All i carry so far is a full automotive ratchet set, power impact, duct tape hammer and rubber mallet I'm still adding when money permits
OP if I was you I would take it home and start spraying all around with the hose and look for leaks. If you had significant snowfall on the roof is there a chance the weight flexed the roof a bit to create a leak? Was your door shut properly when u left?
