Page 169 of the Owner's manual says the Maximum GTW is 7000 lbs for the Rubicon with Auto Trans.

A Rubicon will sit higher than a Sport. Not sure how much lift you added, but they might be about even? Good luck today… wish you the best ?

If you go back to page 2 of this thread, it seems like there are several models that will meet your towing capacity requirements, but are not “Max Tow.” Might make it easier to find a replacement. Just a thought.

If your "Due Bill" says, "Install Max Tow Package," it seems like you have a valid reason to return the vehicle for a refund if that task is not performed. It doesn't say, "Install Receiver." That's very specific.
