The mounting rails were cut. The holes in the tent base are on the four corners of a large square, so drilling is not required.
Iāll remove the tent for the winter and get everything 100% adjusted then. The rack length needs to be shortened about 3ā because Iām anally retentive.
Drove a 1976 CJ5 in that exact color in high school. 232 I-6, pretty gutless but capable.
3-spd transmission was junk that year, but the engine was solid.
That plastic piece at the back end of the t-slot is hokey and poorly designed. It shouldnāt spin on the bolt like they have it.
it should have a second bolt or a pin to keep it from spinning.
You can check the seal at night by turning on the bed lamp and looking for light bleeding through.

I see this if using a map and streaming music at the same time while plugged in to the center console. Plugging into the dash is much more stable. Maybe this will help.
