  1. Roof removal breaks seal?

Took ours off this weekend to put the Coverking headliner in and put it back on when complete. Driven it several times since then and no rattles or squeaks.
  2. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

When you do get to the back - make sure it doesn't slip to one side as you are putting it on. This happened to us and we couldn't fix it, so I'm left with a small area behind the passenger door that's not covered. But overall the hardest part was figuring out where the tape went. Once we got...
  3. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

Even though it was a pain to put on, over all I am very pleased. I would just make sure you have a roll of gorilla two sided tape handy to help out where needed. Here are some pics. You will see the one corner where the fit could've been better but it's not the noticeable when sitting in the...
  4. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

Well what a frustrating weekend putting this thing on! Directions for a JKU, so my wife and I had to watch the youtube video numerous times to figure out where all the double sided tape went. 1- Crummy directions and even the video left out a few steps. I love how everything just goes together...
  5. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

Well it got delivered today and I'll check to see if it is for the JT. I would be royally pissed if it's for a JKU as the paperwork said for brianinca. Hopefully like he said it's just the wrong paperwork. Been a long wait and we'll see how it looks when I install it this weekend.
  6. Finally Got My JT!

Congratulations and enjoy the new rider!
  7. Finally…the Gladiator is home!

Congratulations and enjoy the new ride. I would say let the mods begin, but it seems you've already started. You do know that Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket
  8. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

Just received the notification from Quadratec and Coverking that it was shipped and should be here this weekend on the 8th as well. Man I hope I like this thing after making a fuss with Quadratec about the wait time. Wanted it for the heat of a Texas summer, we'll see
  9. What do you lose if you don't get leather?

Thought I would be happy upgrading to leather on my 2014 JK, so I ordered katzkin leather seats and had them installed. Worst mod ever. As was stated earlier, in Houston heat and humidity they were a nightmare. When looking for my JT, skipped any vehicle with leather.
  10. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

when did you order and who from? Tired of getting the runaround. TIA Well now Coverking is saying it has been shipped and will arrive later this week. Quadratec called them on my behalf and was told sometime in September. They are clueless and I really don't believe Coverking has any idea of...
  11. Coverking Jeep Topliner - SPC683 Sale Price Deal

Ordered mine on June 17 from Quadratec and they told me it should ship in a week. Every time I talk with customer service since then, well they're backlogged and it'll be another 2 or 3 weeks. Very frustrated with their customer service. Wanted it for the heat of the summer, maybe I'll get it...
  12. Katzkin Experience Thread

When I did my 2014 JKU - it was leather seating surfaces only. So the seat backs were not leather. They looked great and I had absolutely no problem with them. My only issue was in the Texas sun and the roof off, sticking to the seat was not ideal
  13. The Philistine thread - non-lifted Gladiators and not likely to be, either

Love the little helper, my granddaughter helps me clean the Jeep!
  14. The Philistine thread - non-lifted Gladiators and not likely to be, either

I love this thread because it doesn't condemn me for not wanting to put 37's or 40's on my Gladiator nor want to put a 3" lift or bigger. So tired of reading that 40's is a must if you want to be taken seriously. I've put work into previous Jeeps and it was fun building them, but this time I...
  15. Would you buy a base gladiator if you couldnt do any mods?

Yep - if that's what I could afford then I would but the base Gladiator. Don't want to offend anyone who bought all the bells and whistles but a Jeep in any form is a win to me. My first Jeep was a base TJ with air and my family still has fond memories of that vehicle. To be honest I still...
  16. Rok Blokz Mud Flaps alternative

Went with the Weathertech ones as well, and they were extremely easy to install. Well worth the money.
  17. Jeep Wave Customer Care disappointment

You must have great dealers around you, both local Toyota & Chevy dealers had me either drop it off with no loaner or wait. And that was pre-covid. I know I'll have to sit and wait when the Gladiator goes in or schedule a ride with a co-worker. It all comes down to the local dealer. For the...
  18. Bed Liner - Spray on or drop in?

I went with a spray-in and it has a life-time warranty. Very happy with the way it came out. Understand both sides, but chose the spay-in for aesthetic reasons.
  19. First Jeep, first post

Congratulations and enjoy the new ride! Welcome from the north side. Check out the Houston Jeep Society page on Facebook. There are weekly events all over the city, we'd love to have you join the group.
  20. What price shenanigans have you seen dealerships do?

For reasons similar to that, I purchased my first Jeep in another state and drove it home. Had to pay sales tax separately when I registered the vehicle but the savings were worth the 4 1/2 hour drive. Good Luck
