This is a lot less of an issue than you would think. It sits high enough on the tailgate that I’ve never had a problem. Stability has been my issue with it.

The real problem is stability with a 110# tire and wheel. The latch and hardware that hold it together leave a lot to be desired. It seems to have solved itself. I did all the reboots correctly and then drove it around the block a few times but it was still on. After dinner I jumped back in the truck to run to the gas station and the TPMS light is off now!
