  1. A Hurricane in the future

The Hurricane T6 is a replacement for the Hemi. It's not meant to replace the Pentastar. The replacement for the Pentastar will be a T4 (the 2.0 was the first attempt, expect another). So if the Hurricane makes it to Gladiator, it will be a premium offering as the 392 is in JL.
  2. Another TPMS question and dealer bad behavior

Actually you had a 4x2 XJ. A 2x4 is a piece of lumber.
  3. Another TPMS question and dealer bad behavior

It is always possible the sensor was damaged in the swap. It's also possible the problem is with the truck itself reading the sensor. I'd swap the problem wheel/tire to another location and see if the issue follows or stays in the same location.
  4. To trade or not, what would you do.........

I would trade to get a few options (LED lights, proximity entry, LSD, SelecTrac) but I end up with a $58k Jeep to get all that, and no more Gator. Mine's paid for so I'm gonna stick with what I have.
  5. Keys? Where to get one cut?

FCA treated suppliers like garbage and leaned on them to reduce costs because Sergio thought suppliers were getting excess profits. It's no surprise that resupplying parts to Jeep would be a low priority for these vendors that service multiple manufacturers.
  6. Your battery voltage - truck off and at rest

My stop/start still works after the three times of external charging. i don't know if my battery charger did any repair functions - it may as it's a newer charger with an AGM setting. Anyway, I guess the dealer won't be replacing the batteries since it's working. I'll probably be on my own and...
  7. Get creative challenge. Bye bye push to start button.

So you need to go back even before the push button start for thinking about this. For example, I'll pick my old 2005 Chrysler 300 that still had a metal key. And even with that key there was a chip. Turning the key to start the car is no problem. But if the chip in the key is not recognized the...
  8. VIC, Push to Start, and shifter indicator never turn off, any ideas?

I had this problem on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I disconnected battery power (both batteries), waited a minute or two, reconnected, and the problem never came back. It was still under warranty but this problem never came back and it was easier than a trip to the dealer.
  9. Your gladiator after a year or two in the rust belt

I agree. I bought mine in the rustbelt (Ohio. when I lived in Pennsylvania) then moved south to Georgia before the first winter.
  10. Removing closure panels from SPORT S front bumper?

I believe every trim level gets them in Europe spec, at least that was the case for Wrangler at one time.
  11. Has anyone ever heard of Jeep taking preorders on a color before it’s available?

Preordering wouldn't exempt you from price increases. That and the system isn't set up to accept orders for things that don't exist.
  12. Your battery voltage - truck off and at rest

My stop start continues to work for well over a week now, after the third time on the external charger. Or was it just a coincidence that it started working after the calendar switched to spring? Oh well, I've got another year of warranty left if it's the battery I guess.
  13. Programmer and ESS/Battery issues.

I had to vote for after, but I think it's unrelated. I used JScan to set DRLs and tire size. Stop/start worked fine for over a year. But now the battery charging message is common, though after putting my Gladiator on trickle charge again the message is gone.
  14. Your battery voltage - truck off and at rest

So after three times charging (rapid charge at the dealer, plus two trickle charges at home) my display now shows 12.4 after sitting on the cluster. And the stop/start is ready and working now after the last three days.
  15. Your battery voltage - truck off and at rest

The 2020 owners manual lists these (more than 12): Driver’s seat belt is not buckled Driver’s door is not closed Battery temperature is too warm or cold Battery charge is low The vehicle is on a steep grade Cabin heating or cooling is in process and an acceptable cabin temperature has not been...
  16. Employee Pricing 2

I guess a lesson in basic economics would help here. Prior to COVID and even more so during the early stages of COVID, there were way more vehicles produced by manufacturers than the public was willing to buy. So discounts were they way of life to increase sales. At the point where we are now...
  17. Aux battery is still charging

So an update from me. I noticed that after my third battery charge (a rapid charge by the dealer and two trickle charges by me) the battery voltage wasn't dropping off as fast. And on Saturday (three days after the last trickle charge and the first time driving since then) the not ready battery...
  18. Maybe it's just me, but this should have been the Wagoneer...

I think the Wagoneer got screwed in the re-direction of the product. Originally Wagoneer was going to be what the Grand Cherokee L is now. Then 6 years ago it was announced Wagoneer in that form was being cancelled and moved to Ram's body on frame construction. This decision seems to have left...
  19. Your battery voltage - truck off and at rest

Put the charger back on my Gladiator and let it trickle change. When complete, with the charger attached dash showed 12.6 volts. As soon as I unhooked display dropped to 12.4. i'll run some errands today, but I suspect the battery charging message will still be displayed.
  20. Your battery voltage - truck off and at rest

I don't have a meter for actual readings. It's still packed away from the last move. Truck would show 12.0 to 12.2 on the dash after siting for a day. Two days ago I used my battery charger to trickle charge to full. Drove the truck long enough to get it up to temperature and still got the...
