First, you should NEVER put any 4WD vehicle in 4WD on dry pavement. Only on loose dirt or snow. So, what you experienced was normal given the circumstances. AWD is different.
2. Yes there’s an indicator in the instrument cluster that illuminates which drive you’ve selected.
3. Yes, there’s an EQ.
There should be a “Snow & Ice LED” option for those who need it. A simple aux switch that turns on a heated element (thin wire similar to those in rear windows) cast into the polycarbonate lens.
I used to swear buy P&S Beadmaker too before I tried Turtle Wax Ice Seal & Shine which looks just a good but lasts much longer. Tossed a whole gallon of Beadmaker in the recycling bin.
