I've been following Brad since I decided to get a JTR, so it was very cool to see he got one and I am sure it will be a great build. I liked how excited he obviously was in the video.
Let's hope they open it up on Monday. But it seems like they'd want some Punk'n orders ready on the day they first day it is available to build. I have a car coming off lease on July 31, so the sooner the better.
When I tried to order a Rubi last month (Punkin was not available yet) the salesman read a note on his order website that said some Jeep owners will get bedliners whether they ordered it or not. He said, "Interesting..." with a tone that implied, "That will cause me trouble."
That was my thought when I watched that video. With a stock 11.3:1 compression ratio with any boost you better be running at least 100 octane. It's a bad idea and I wasn't surprised they blew the engine.
I'm in, even though I don't have a Jeep yet, I do have a motel reserved already. My daughter and I drove through that area a week before Easter and I firmed up plans to buy a Gladiator and go next year.
I'm new to the forum and I have driven the competition. I have a Scion FR-S coming off lease in July, so I will need another vehicle by then. I love driving a sports car, but in the last couple of years I got the off roading bug because of some week long trips through the West and Southwest...
