The trim piece pulls out but not completely off without taking the dash apart. I trimmed behind the panel and drilled the hole while the panel was still partially attached.
You can actually buy the same Mac valve solenoid on Amazon for cheaper. It is just a 2 envelope solenoid, spring return and dumps the air to atmosphere when the coil is off.
So someone help me out on this. I do not have functional steering wheel controls. I removed my stereo to check and the harness connection labeled steering control doesn’t have a 3.5mm inserted into it. Although I can’t find one to put in it anyways. So is this the piece of the puzzle I’m missing...
Any of the lifts you suggested will work. There are quite a few members running the EVO lift with 37 or 38’s.
But like the other member warned is your going to want to beef up the stock axles. Truss them, axle shafts, ball joints etc. Hydraulic steering wouldn’t be a bad idea.
My suggestion is...
The solenoid would require power for it to remain on and lock the lockers. The only way for it to be momentary is having two coils and a detent to hold the spool placement. The solenoid they use is a coil activated, spring return, 2 envelope solenoid.
The ox lockers still offer the advantage of being able to pin them in case air, electrical, or cable failure.
the other advantage is they do not need to be disassembled to replace the o-ring like an ARB. The o-ring is in the diff cover.
Edit: I see your running a bottle. Trying to figure out what I’m going to do for switches and location right now. Currently I have no idea what I want. Do you have the factory aux switches or going to mount that somewhere else?
Dropped my Gladiator off right before vacation for drifting to the left at 60 plus. The dealership ordered the steering box and replaced it right away no questions asked. They also replaced my gas tank and updated my computer.
