So someone help me out on this. I do not have functional steering wheel controls. I removed my stereo to check and the harness connection labeled steering control doesn’t have a 3.5mm inserted into it. Although I can’t find one to put in it anyways. So is this the piece of the puzzle I’m missing and it has fallen into the black abyss of the dash somewhere?

If I recall correctly, mine has a 90 degree 3.5mm plugged into it.

yes, this is what you missing. But it shouldn’t just fall out. It is part of the main adapter harness. The only reason you shouldn’t have it is if it was accidentally left off from the factory.

So I added a camera to the front this weekend, having issues getting it to work the way that I want. I want the camera to trigger when I am traveling 0-15 mph. I’m pretty sure that I have it set correctly and it sort of “works” but it randomly turns on. I was driving on the highway (70mph) slowed down to get off a ramp and it came on, I was still going like 55. Ended up having to turn it off because every time I would slow down it would pop on. Anyone have any ideas? I have a trigger wire connected to the camera and the radio is feeding the power to the camera.

Mine works as desired and I am not using the trigger wire. Also, Camera 4 is default for the front camera.

Alright I think I figured out what the issue was, I had the camera turn on with turn signal set to on in my Tazer jl mini settings(Which wasn’t doing anything before I installed the new camera). Need to test it out a bit more but i think that is what was going on.
Wish the camera video quality was better but it was only $36 so I can’t expect it to be amazing.

$36? Wow! I paid $11. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000916642798.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.33534c4dbYqjLC. That input isn't HD, so it's a little different than the rear camera 😉

So I just got mine yesterday, did the prework putting everything together first and started taking this apart. I would say It should have taken me roughly 3 hours to complete but for some reason the unit wasn’t powering on last night. This morning I took everything out and plugged back in the old 8.4 and confirmed it was still working. Unplugged and plugged back all connectors and confirmed correct and reinstalled and it worked.

So my findings on the fitment with all the wires, all the RCA cables I pushed down behind the climate control panel on the right side (behind the dash), there is a sizable space there and they all fit nicely which made fitting everything else a relative breeze. Pushing the HD1 pac into the upper left was a bit of a challenge but was ok.

Future plans, I plan on putting a usb pig tail for the usb input to keep the android auto/car play in the center consol then have another coming out of the dash so i don’t have a wire stretched from the console to my phone holder on the dash. Sirius XM module, not sure why it wasn’t included in the package. I want to find an Android Auto wireless adapter which would eliminate the need for the extra cable.

I'm about to throw the wiring harness in the trash and set my truck on fire. I'm on attempt number 4 of trying to jam 5 lbs of trash into a 3lb bag.

Chill. Have a beer (if you can). Then go back to it. Lol. Just takes a little patience. I will say, even when it fells like its not quite in there and you can barely get the screws to bite, you pretty much have it. Go ahead and tighten up and it will hold.

Exactly right, I've done it about 4 times now. If you can get the screws to bite you're in👍

Hello everyone, I recently bought the Stinger Heigh10. I watched the videos and got it all hooked up. Everything was working fine then about 15 minutes into the ride my check engine light came on and a warning chime about my Auto Start/Stop not working. A few more minutes go by and I am getting the Anti Skid was disabled. I took my jeep to the dealer and they told me that the radio wasnt communicating with the jeep. I updated the firmware for the Singer as well as the PAC module., but am still getting the errors. I called the place that I bought the radio from and they told me that I needed to update all 3 of the PAC modules for it to work properly. I spent a good half hour looking for drivers for the other 2 modules but couldnt find anything. I called PAC tech support and they told me that the other 2 modules didnt need to be updated and that I needed to reinstall the factory radio and go through some steps to get the jeep to forget about the Uconnect system. So I did what he said and took it for a test run. 5 minutes into the drive the samething started happening. I am at a complete loss at this point. I've pulled the radio out now 3 times to try and fix the problem. Everything is working ... the hands free, the radio, the camera, etc. I was tring to see if anyone else had updated the other 2 modules or had any issues like this, and if you did how did you fix it. Any help would greatly be appreciative.

I haven’t had or heard about this issue yet. First thing that pops into my mind is are you sure you’re plugged into the can bus correctly? I know i had to stop myself and think about it but the white plugs into the green bus and the green plug goes into the white bus.

Thanks for the reply. I did double check all the wiring to make sure i put it all together correctly. I called PAC again this morning and they informed me that i needed to stay in the car before uninstalling the factory radio so i will try that when i get home this evening.

Just grabbing for straws here, but it is possible to mismatch the bus connector at the head end and still plug it in (don't ask how I know 😉) @19:13
