For all of us with the 5 inch radio and looking to upgrade I have complied a list of required items with numbers. Radio's are tough to come by with the Chip shortage - so don't expect much to be in stock right now - nor are new models being released for some time. As a result not much testing is being done either to see what actually fits.
Option 1: Upgrade to 7.4 UCONNECT
PROS: Direct Swap
CONS: Lose dash volume/tuning control knobs and on/off switch for radio (Can swap in an upgraded climate control panel - but you will have non-working auto hvac controls on your dash)
Option 2: Aftermarket Radio
PROS: Different options - customizable - upgradeable
CONS: Few in stock options at the moment - loss of HD backup cam (Unless you are willing to get the STINGER or Insane Audio) No wireless carplay options yet.
JTs have a depth clearance for a double din of less than 4 inches. There are only a few slim/modular options at the moment - and many of the 9" floating screens are unknown in compatibility. I believe there is a chance a single din with the 9" on the bottom would fit - but no authority has tried that I am aware of.
JVC: KWM650 (DISCONTINUED) KWM 750BT
Alpine: ILX 407 (NEW MODEL) 650 (OLD MODEL) 207 (PENDING MODEL)
Pioneer: DMH C 2500NEX/2550NEX (MODULAR)
Kenwood: 706S/7706S
Stinger: HEIGH10
Insane Audio: JL3001
Steering wheel Adaptor kits: IDATALINK MAESTRO RR/RR2 - PAC RP4-CH11 - Metra Axxess ASWC-1 (must get corresponding harness for radio connection)
Dash Kits: METRA 107CH38 for 7" screens - can utilize METRA 109-UN02 for a floating 9" screen. STINGER and Insane Audio have a custom dash setup. Alpine has a scoshe integrated kit that doesn't seem to work for the HVAC controls and I would stay away from that setup.
Other Items needed to complete installation: FIBER to RCA converter for factory backup cam (NOT needed on STINGER as they integrated a fiber connection)
ANTENNA ADAPTOR
All this combined should get you an idea of what is available.
