If you are willing to spend money like that on gadgets, then you might want to play some offense, not just defense. Defense is locking your doors, alarm is set, kill the battery, lock the hood, lug nut locks and all that good stuff. But beyond the obvious, nothing is going to stop someone from...
Yeah, I too was a moron for my first couple years of driving. I got my S-Class license in Gran Turismo 2 around the same time I was allowed to drive solo. That was a bad combination. :CWL:
You should get a quote on wrapping it if the color means this much to you. You could go with one of the grays from the factory so the interior where the paint is visible would be neutral. Then you wrap the exterior in any color you want. Just another option.
I'm using it for non-trailering reasons. But If I were to make something up, I would say daytime running lights, like amber lights on the sides, or soft red on the back?
I used it to power an inverter in the bed to run Christmas lights....so I'm not allowed to complain about missing functions. ??
Interesting. Good to know! Thanks.
I'm surprised there wouldn't be a pin to provide power with run-only. This would match up nicely to the aux switch I have programmed to turn on with every ignition. Now I wish I had a 120v outlet in the bed. But since there is no such run-only 12v wire back...
A month ago, I was trying to put Christmas lights on the back bumper and thought maybe I could tap into the trailer plugs. So the manual made me understand that it was in fact possible. I've never used a 7 PIN before so it was nice to learn from the manual that it has options for 'power when...
In the words of Tony Stark: "I'm sorry. This is the fun-vee. The hum-drum-vee is back there."
I don't see any F-150s driving around with the top and doors off. I don't see any Land Rovers hauling sheets of plywood in the non-existent bed in the back. I don't see other brands building their...
Funny story about Santa:
I've owned the Jeep for 3 days. We took a family trip to a drive-thru Christmas light charity thing down in Lewes DE. Of course I had to pop it in 4Low and crawl through it, why not. At the end of it was Mr. and Mrs. Clause to greet us. Now, I have 2 young girls in the...
I'm very impressed with Jeep's manual. I have spent a couple hours flipping around in it and have stumbled across very useful pieces of knowledge that I wouldn't find on your own. There really are cases of "you don't know what you don't know". Like in the Uconnect section, I had no idea that...
Intriguing mod for most. I would say it's only a must have for rock crawlers who get into extreme inclines. That's just because you suck up an unhealthy dose of fluid from the crankcase by tipping it. People running catch cans BECAUSE they rock crawl, are checking the can EVERY day they got...
Lol, I guess I should have read the whole article. I had NO idea it wasn't street legal and I also had no idea the stats are so sad on that thing. 62 HP. Ha!
I just remotely met a peer at work who lives in India and uses one of these for off roading on sand dunes. He sent me photos and it...
Yeah, I don't want any of this Tesla-wannabe stuff until it has a few years of not only being full proof, but actually backed up with Machine Learning massive amounts of data. FCA isn't even on the same planet.
I'm fine driving it without any help.
First 600 miles, my average was 10 MPG! Yuck. Mostly short trips around town. Lot's of remote starts with the cold weather.
I had a 100 mile trip today where I went over 700 miles on the odometer. Cruising on the highway in 8th gear at about 75 MPH, I'm getting 17.5 MPG. Once I got to a...
