I have the 2021 Rubicon, made in October 2020. I checked both sides of rear axel with a very bright light and I don't see anything wet or oily. maybe we can nail down a timeframe of manufacturing that people are having the issue
"Play in steering wheel" implies that you can turn the wheel an unreasonable amount back and forth without it putting any pressure on the wheels. I never had one bit of that. Mine is a Rubicon and we would have mostly the same exact parts. the shocks are different. This type of play was...
I never want to buy a car off the lot again. There are so many bait and switches, and confusing tactics they use to make the experience stressful and exhausting, so you break down and just pay the extra money at some point.
I ordered mine custom from Leon at Criswell. The only downside is the...
Yeah, that's a good thought but still not what I had in mind. I just want a single foot sized little step and it should be less than $100. I'm so close to just making something myself. This shouldn't be this difficult. I'm so surprised to see all the full length options and not one single...
I have the stock Rubicon rock slider. I'm looking for a side step I can put on for the kids, but I don't want to replace the sliders. I really just need a simple step for the kids for a few years and then I'll take it off. Does a step exist that does not interfere with the rock slider and...
Installed wheel spacers. Teraflex 1.75 inch. Stock Rubicon before and after. Gives it a very noticeable wider stance and I feel like it rolls just a little bit less. I'm very happy with the new look.
Also worth noting, that's not a regular "sport S" bumper. That looks like a Rubicon plastic bumper. And so I believe, this would fit.

Sto N Sho has a pricey option that works for some unique cases. It avoids drilling into the face of your bumper and it also allows you to easily remove the the whole frame and plate...
I was actually in HF a couple days ago, ready to buy one, but their credit card services were down so I had to walk away.
I'm pretty sold on the "Daytona 3 Ton low profile, long reach" at $199.
It has a max lift of 24 inches which is pretty high for a floor jack.
I love Costco and always...
I didn't get to afford a $50k truck by throwing away money. I live like Warren Buffett whenever I can. He clips coupons and uses them in front of Bill Gates to buy McDonald's. He's clearly doing something right.
Anyway, I really dislike the idea of throwing away the entire wiper blade assembly...
On my Hondas (Civics, CRV and an Odyssey), I've always just bought the rubber only for the OEM blade "holders" for lack of a better term. I was messing around with the Jeep OEM wipers and notice that the rubber does not come off like they do on the Hondas, even though they actually look...
I second Ceramic. it's safe to use on pretty much the entire exterior. I use it on windshield, headlights, everything. And I take special care on the camera to keep that water beading off. It definitely helps with the clarity. Rain X is OK too, but it's just old tech. Rain X is just a wax...
STILL AVAILABLE AS OF FEBRUARY 2022.
I installed a front hitch receiver which replaced the area of the skid plate. This is basically brand new, taken off my 2021 Rubicon at around 1,000 miles. My front bumper is the standard plastic Rubicon bumper (not the steel one). The skid plate I'm...
Yeah, I almost mentioned Griots in my first post, but I figured the most comprehensive advice I could give would be Wilson Auto Detailing, only because he talks about many brands. I don't consider Griots to cover all the basic needs. Some of their product lines are a little weird. For example...
IMHO, I don't think Chemical Guys is a good product or generally a good name brand you can trust. I must have about 12 of their products and everything "wet" is not that good. So I just wanted to throw out my 2 cents for anyone looking to purchase their first big detailing kit.
I love the...
Got some surf fishing in. This was a gorgeous sunset as we stayed out until dark. Pink sky 360 degrees all around, with the full moon coming up off the water as the sun set. Even walking around on the water washing up, the pink was reflecting off of it below us. It was surreal and the photos...
Finally done with this solution. I went with my option #3 after way too much thinking and researching.
Oddly enough, I could only find 1 main stream company that makes these things: Anglers Fish N Mate. They have ZERO competition.
And wow, was it difficult to find the 6 holder. Even when...
It's technically a "skid plate" for protection though right? I'm not too concerned about hitting it. I'm just a little concerned about rain and mud splashing up on the electronics I'm seeing right there. There is a plug, smack in the middle, protected by the shield/skid plate. Maybe that's...
