well gents (and i use that term loosely ;)), i just installed the Timbren 3000 lb helper springs on rear of the mopar lifted glad, without the included spacer, i have just about 1" clearance to the stop plate...they want 1/2" to 1 1/2" so i'm right there in the middle, full tank of gas and my...
it's perfect imo...
it will be awful close to me with 4:88's and 37's, i run about 2800-3000 rpm in 4th at 64 mph (104 km/h) or in 5th i'm around 75 mph (120 km/h) and same rpm range, the 2nd stage fuel pump comes on a little over 3000 rpm, but it'll go all day in 4th at 64 mph and cruise...
4:10 for 33's, 4:56 for 35's, 4:88 for 37's, so if you know you're going to 35's or 37's eventually you are re-gearing anyway, the 4.10's fine for 35's and the auto, but the manual want's what i just said minimum...lots go 4:88 for 35's and 5:13 for 37's if they are building heavier rigs and do...
i haven't seen explanation for this yet, it only happened when i was accelerating aggressively, high rpm and fast shift from 2-3 in the manual, only happened twice, i don't do that anymore, both times once speed came down to near stop it seemed to reengage and back to normal, but on big tires...
nitto has a couple 35x11.5 and they also have some 37x11.5, but as we find out their treadwidth runs fat, not a big enough difference imo, need more 285/295 options that get in the 37" range, so far the best you can get with the metrics 285/295's is 35.1" tall
tire manufacturers seem to be...
i remember this, had a trip planned with trailer within a week, so i was out breaking it in after work up and down the highway at different speeds on cruise, then let it cool for awhile, then go do it again, i had a loop all patterned out with hills for loading etc., would hammer out a couple...
good point for the off-roaders, maybe airbags better for articulation?(just air down once unloaded?), i use this thing like a truck (came from half ton down to midsize) so having max articulation isn't a thing for me, getting through some ditches in snow and mud for hunting, forestry roads in...
that's a perfect width, just need options up to 37", a 285 75r20 (36.8" tall) would be the hot ticket for this cowboy ;), that size doesn't exist....yet, i'll pray to the tire gods, can only find some 285/295's that go up to 35.1" tall, much like the 285 75r18
it will be night and day different for the better, you'll likely get better mileage while also having better power everywhere, i did the exact same 3.73 to 4.88 but with a manual but my trailer also quite a bit lighter than yours but it completely transformed everything including daily empty...
These have finally shipped, i will have on for my early july trip and can report back. Should step up to the plate on the sag when extra tongue heavy. timbren helpers 3000 lb
the 315 70r17 (35's) duratracs i had previously ran 10.5" on tread width, they spec same as 35-12.5
would like to see more 10.5 and 11.5 wide options (the 285's i believe running around 9" treadwidths and similar to what a 10.5" would be)
we need a pizza cutter revolution, i'm wanting 37x11.5...
yup that's how it works, i should have added that i throw the app up on the phone just to have the big button to push for manual additional braking application if things are sketchy on the road...but most of the time i don't need the button showing, my tunes or google maps usually showing, the...
another curt echo user here, it's been great, i'll throw it up on the phone if it's really windy and or curvy and bumpy roads but otherwise going from last setting works just great most of time
That's a helluva muley in your avatar, two of my euros go 190 and 200 gross, and a couple proper mounts in 190 and 203. That stud is well up there forsure, over 200 by an easy margin by the looks of it...do confirm. ;)
Just got back from spring bear, first off grid run with the home built...
me too, if going automatic the half ton trucks are the smartest choice, they are bread and butter for manufacturers so get the most engineering, most r&d, it goes on and on, if gotta have the jeep truck then take your pic, lots on paper to like about the auto, the manual benefits don't really...
We forget so quickly don't we Swamp? It wasn't even a different thread you showed exactly everything i just said about your true colors. Anyway...carry on with you're insults...there are a few more quotes of your own i can easily light you up with to go along with this one but you may want to...
Sorry i missed this but really some good discussion and ya it's taken a turn but that's ok, this is good discussion. Swamp you've not been all that receptive to those who aren't for all the latest tech and convenience and turn your nose up pretty good to us who'd prefer a more mechanical simple...
gaslighting is such an under estimated and unknown term, i get it, it challenges a reality we've 'known' (or was it 'shown'?) our whole lives and will protect it at nearly all costs...call me whatever you like to try to deflect from the message, attack the messenger, gaslight...they are...
