It may be a winner, just not against Jeeps, or anything in the mid-size segments. Raptors are everywhere so people like full size plenty. Just don't confuse or compare bronco's to jeeps, they aren't in the same size segment.
I like that they put a manual option on the 2.3, which is what i...
I just stopped by a dealer and looked over the new bronco, much like the raptor, it's a fat pig.
It's as wide as a half ton. The wrangler/gladiator will win this war for two reasons.
1. it's truly mid-size segment and will park and fit down trails as such.
2. solid front axle.
Ford you effed...
i just looked over the new bronco, it's not really a mid-size, it's a full size, it's so much wider than a jeep, so they don't really compare, if they made a truck out of it it would compete against the 1/2 tons imo...the wrangler will win this war easily by staying mid-size or smaller and solid...
jeeps are not trucks...
jeep with a truck box is still a jeep...
get a truck for truck towing...
get an jeep trailer for jeep towing...
would not wanna feel the weight or sway of some of the rigs i've seen towed on here
jeeps are live axle skinny bricks with 4wd...even the one with the box on it ;)
eibach had some lowering springs for the JK from recollection, maybe they do for JL's as well?
if trying to stay tow stout though...wrong vehicle, ridgelines are amazing vehicles imo, won't work for me with the hunting stuff we do, just not enough clearance
if i went diesel i'd be after full delete egr and def with tune, such a hassle, better off to buy a gasser and drop a rebuilt 4bt in it if you want diesel done right i suppose, heck i'd supercharge the pentastar before going ecodiesel, a couple psi boost from 2500-3000 rpm would do the trick
i...
didn't look to see if this was brought up but i had unexplained heat come into my sport s floor level cooking legs and had to plug the oval drain holes to stop it, if it's not that then carry on, it was letting heat off the road and exhaust come in when windows open or ventilation could flow in cab
the timbren 3000 lb helper springs is another option, i went this route, very happy, i wouldn't go this route if i wanted to maintain full articulation as offroaders may want, but for those who use this thing as a truck more than anything the timbren option requires zero air, just throw em in...
i buy the penzoil ultra full synthetic from canadian tire when it's on sale for nearly half price i usually grab 3 or so 5l jugs of it, i'll be doing oil change shortly as it's due, i do mine every 7500 kms, i have the last oil change sitting in the 5 gallon bucket now and this one will be going...
Ok, i got my sport s, 6-spd dec 28, 2019, now at 30,000 miles (50,000 kms as it's in Canada), a few thousand miles ago engine light came on while on highway, which isn't new, i've had more engine lights come and go since i've owned it that i've lost count, seems a permanent feature, so thats 20...
our rig goes down the road with 3 bodies at 380 lbs and growing every year, plus another few hundred lbs of paddleboards, bikes, groceries, and more, so my 5100 lb jeep plus 2700 lb dry trailer puts us around 7800 dry but fully loaded down the road we hit the scales at 8900+ so bank on a solid...
quoting myself here for update, have been pulling said trailer which is in constant evolution, now the trailer has a 3" lift and 360w of solar panels on top, insulated floor/roof, ice fishing holes and dual queen bunks with a trunk...the jeep i added the timbren 3000 lb helper springs, we have...
the 255 85r17 lists out at 34" - 35" will go under max tow stock, pick up some 18" overland or jl sahara take off wheels in 18" and get the 285 75r18 size (35.1") tall, little taller than the 34.8" rating of most 35's, and not as porky fat, a little less than a 11.5" wide, it's the perfect 35"...
i did the same mod, leave the resonator tip and straight pipe the other two, first highway trip (thankfully it was only 1 hour each way) was all it took to understand how painful drone can be, it was fine around town, but when your truck is trying to run between 1900-2300 and any sort of load...
ha, one of my fav's so far, built my own 4 season off grid adventure pod, just called it our adventure pod, beach wagon has a much better ring, well actually we named it 'Steve' to be more precise but Steve is our adventure pod, love the lighting, i put a disco ball in mine and some sat. radio...
wow, the video proves the butt dyno...nice one, just get the damn thing already lol
foo...this wasn't a 1-2% difference lol, he was seeing 10-20% difference, and if you can hear how many times he says it transforms the drivability...as i was also saying, it really wakes things up, if you like...
now, my logic says times won't change, however, i feel like i'm getting stronger/quicker pull from this thing than anything i ever got from being floored, i drive pretty aggressively, left lane, gtf out of my way, high beams flashing etc. so my right foot was well trained to the floor...take it...
i did too, and resisted this gizmo for a long time, but having it for a few weeks, maybe a month now, i'd do it again in a heartbeat, even with a well trained right foot, it still doesn't ramp up the input even to the floor as quick as this thing does with minimal input on the higher settings...
I agree, I have the 6-spd and I-drive, it’s very aggressive imo, I leave mine on 2...there are 9 settings lol, if you want tire chirpin snort anything above 5 will get you there
oil is oil, coolant is coolant, i think some references to temps from the gas motor are good to see here, so zip it ya crazy cooter, maybe tomorrow try milk in your frosted flakes:CWL:
