i so approve of this thread!
ajt is a band aid, not a fix, but i did that, and took the physical key, kept it on the pivot wheel and just ground the pivot wheel flat so it would go on key ring with a few other keys and a spring steel snap clip like on the end of key lanyards to attach to the...
yes, same here, 7' (84") garages the norm in my part of world also, and on 37's with mopar and some 3/4" front pucks additional, i'm right around that 6'6" mark with hard top (78"), i believe the soft top rides a little higher than the hard top, so still a bit of room for more lift and tire...
my thoughts exactly, a glorified popcan on wheels riding on the back of ages old reputation it no longer deserves
i only spent a month in a 19 taco crew/long/4x4, mind you it was a rental after my ram was totaled, i drove everything else of interest in the segment, the colorado/canyon's would...
i started with 35's also, the 37's are the correct proportion for these trucks imo, lost a few bucks making the swap of course
wish you could order the axle ratios you want when doing a factory order, as upgrading to 4.88's should be standard when you go to 37's, what a difference! worth every...
also agreed, that's why i asked the mods to delete the fluff and keep the actual 'dear jeep, can you please...'
i could bang on about the fob itself for ages and make joke after joke after joke...but if the thread is to be useful for jeep, will need to moderator ourselves and remove that nonsense
Lol, it's your money. My overland boards already paid for in car-wash savings alone. I still roll on 37's and sit well up there. Look good too, just not skateboard good. Instagram @gladiatoryyc if you like clean lifted sports without a bunch of garbage bolted on everywhere ;)
lmao, very good
you can fix the muddy doors with staying positive on your offset and adding the overland running boards...if you use as a truck more than a serious offroad vehicle, otherwise ignore haha
also, mods, delete any posts that don't have a list like this, keep the thread to lists not discussions or arguments about our different preferences etc.
Dear Jeep, In the future can you please fix or change:
1. The Key Fob, it's too big and too heavy for today's technology, 3 times too big & heavy. Or at lease for Sport and Sport S, offer only small lock/unlock fob and eliminate RFID push button start for a traditional key.
2. Allow factory...
Texops, you’re 5.13’s on 37’s? With auto...what’s your 80 mph rpm? Curious the difference. I bet we will be close.
I’m 4.88’s on 37’s and 6-spd and top gear at 80 mph is 2700.
yes, as one mentioned, the gearing is hugely important for heat generation in several places, that should be quoted again
personally regardless of set up, options, etc. the jeep gladiator will never feel comfortable or happy towing 7000 lbs, nor will almost any other vehicle towing at max...
i have the 6 spd and put quite a few miles on 35/37's with the 3.73, fine on the street, a 4-speed essentially with the occasional drop into 5th on the flats on the highway, useless for anything that will challenge the tires, hill starts, even bumping a light trailer up onto a curb in reverse...
i'd be down, things would be a lot safer, only the people qualified to own and care for the beast, as well as operate it, would be on one, the rest will be in the wagons where they should be
see where this is headed?
on my instagram where i do post photo's @gladiatoryyc, my ajt and keys are there somewhere, i'm picky about how how that's set up, anyway, the physical key is on a very small ring with about 3 other keys, but heavily modified and the ring ground thin so they lay well together, that ring is on...
lol, if i were still all ribs and dink like in my 20's rolling in the carhartt's, leatherman on the belt, i would likely be alright, as i've been in the gym most of my life and have some quads, and don't wear baggy big pocket pants anymore, spend half my life in office environment, golf shirts...
for those with purses, cargo pants, mc hammer pants, backpacks, hipsacks, unusually skinny legs, or always wear a jacket....you're good to go
if you just want to roll as yourself in a pair of regular fitted pants, fitness wear, office wear, shorts and a t-shirt...well enjoy the shit out of your...
i may be abrasive about this, doesn't mean i'm wrong lol
lots of it tongue in cheek too as i'm sure many have picked up on
it took me awhile to adapt to the fob on my ram 1500, but it was doable but it pushed the max size for the mans pocket, at least it was also considerate in that it was...
