I'm sure it will happen for the 2026 model year. They have plenty of 6.4 so this will probably go in first just like the 392 Wrangler and then 5.7 to be introduced to follow. Pricing... yeah that's gonna be key. I mean it really is just a couple grand upgrade for the 1500 so who knows...
Have a 2020 Rubicon with 87K miles on it.
Repair issues:
- Battery, battery, battery - many in the last 5 years. AZ kills them fast. Eventually did the Fuse 42/AUX delete + Optima... 7 months no problems.
- Locker errors (Added Z-locker wiring) - no problems. Stock axles.
- Front tie rod...
Two things:
1) They have to get rid of the MDS to make it reliable.
2) Less than 5K upgrade option from factory.
I'd consider upgrading from my 2020 which I love. OG buyer here. Have 85K on the 3.6 and it has been flawless so far.
I am thinking about getting this system mainly for the simplicity. Not going to put too much weight on top. Probably a mounting point for GMRS, WeBoost, Chase light/rock lights and occasional Max tracks, etc. Has anyone run this for a while. Have the Gladiator gutter mounting held up? TIA.
I know this has been discussed ad nauseum but what a piece o'shit technology this has been. By far this has been the most unreliable piece of tech on my 2020. I've driven 80K miles and have had both batteries replaced 3 times so far. I suspect the AZ heat is the killer.
