That’s what I’m thinking, the fox shocks would probably have to be valved differently to get the same ride. Even knowing that it’s hard to make a decision. Ugh, I have no idea what I want to go with.
One of the big reasons I haven’t pulled the trigger on an order already is that I love the Diesel engine, and I love the Mojave suspension, so I’ve been doing 100 different cost and feature analysis on whether I want a Mojave, Rubicon Diesel, or Overland diesel + build it. It doesn’t seem like...
Ford sent out mannequin units to a lot of dealers, so they can park it out front and draw people off the street to come in and order one. Dealers are prohibited from selling the mannequins for something like 6 months/3k miles on them. Over in the Bronco forums, some dealers are reportedly very...
Hi all,
Recently decided to give up on my Bronco order and commit to the Gladiator. I've pretty much determined I'm going to get either a Mojave or a Rubicon Diesel. I've driven a bunch of different models, and I love both the ride of the Mojave and the power of the Diesel. Dream version would...
I rationalize the extra cost by saying if I were to get the Gladiator…I’m paying for towing and hauling ability, which the Bronco does not have. The convenience of a truck bed and 6k tow rating is hard to beat.
Honestly, if there was a better engine in the Gladiator, I probably would have...
Ok that’s where we differ, I ended up adding trailer tow, safety groups, 8.4 + sound, LED, all pretty much things to make it similarly equipped to my high package BL. A lot of people complained about pricing on the bronco and the grouping of stuff in packages and that the Jeep is way more...
Wow, what are the differences between your builds that have the Gladiator 9k less? I feel like getting a similarly equipped Gladiator is absolutely more expensive. My bronco is a 4 door, 2.7, badlands, high package, tow. Comes out to about 49k with Granger deal. My Mojave or Rubicon builds are...
Yep, heavily involved on Bronco6G, same username over there. I was reading posts from today that said MY21 production was supposed to continue till December, and there would definitely be more soft top builds in there and not just the 4K or so more FEs they have to build. I’m going to wait a...
I’m in the same boat as you, reserved a Bronco in September with Granger and have been a soft top build since the beginning, but haven’t gotten scheduled yet. No email with today’s round of scheduling yet too. Im giving it a couple more Thursday’s of Bronco scheduling before I commit to the...
That could be it for sure. I’ve only ever owned both a R&P IFS mid size and a full size truck, both GM and Ford, so it is a new sensation to me. On both of them after installing mild lift with coil overs, and 34” Falken AT3 on the F150 and 32” Cooper STT Pros on the Canyon, the steering still...
Thats something I’ve seen too, I read the thread where the user tightened up his steering gear nut and took the okay out of his steering. Did they replace the whole steering box on yours or just the gear inside?
For me, it’s not so much for me about an improved piece of off road gear in the Bronco as much as better features and overall package. For $50k, the same price as my gladiator Mojave build with Gupton, I’d get in the bronco: True factory washout interior and vinyl seats, way better power plant...
What do you think should be the sequence in troubleshooting? If I ordered a new factory Mojave or Rubicon and experienced that from when I picked up the truck, I can’t really go down the lot to find another I like that’s equipped the same and see if it will steer better. I know the first...
I know I won’t expect AMG steering, I guess I just expected better from it. Numerous others too like @dfwxjer and other posters have said theirs tracks straight and true and while not a sports car, handles solidly without steering slop. That’s all I really ask for and expect. And it’s odd to...
That's what I was thinking, get a Sport or Overland diesel, then add the 2" Mopar lift or maybe a 2.5 Teraflex with Falcon shocks, and have a better ride with the diesel.
However, just finished reading the long thread about heat soak issues with the diesel and it's definitely put some fear in...
Update: drove 2 different Mojave’s and a Sport S Diesel. The 2 Mojave’s split the difference in handling from my first 2 test drives - not as bad as the Rubicon, not as great as the Overland and the used Rubicon I drive. The Sport S Diesel I drive was PHENOMINAL, best driving of the bunch. It’s...
I’m thinking this might have just been overly inflated tires on the brand new truck, possibly combined with just a bad factory alignment or something. Like I said, the used Rubicon I drive afterwards drove fine, almost the exact same as the Overland I drove right before.
Im planning on going...
That’s what I thought, but the issue is that it was a 21 Rubicon that drove awfully. The 21 Overland and used 20 Rubicon I drove afterward were fine, it was the 21 Rubicon that was really bad.
Absolutely plan on it. I know it’s sacrilege, but I’m still sitting back and crossing my fingers that my Bronco might get a build date in the next 2 weeks which I think are the last 2 weeks of MY21 scheduling. If I get bumped to MY22 and have to completely re-order, then the gladiator is going...
