    Recalibrate even for that small of a tire change and it will adjust your shift points and your mileage will come back at least that was my experience when I moved to 285/70/17 generals , it was only an inch recalibration but it went back to handling 8th gear just like stock

    good point on the bed height, I fly fish out of a Kayak that I load into my bed with a bed/hitch extender and it is way easier strapping things down than I had to do with my Ram and I am old

    I stayed with 285 because I will just do a 1" level up front, gearing and mileage . My thoughts were to go as big as I could with having given up any performance. Living in the " low country " besides hunting and beaches and Mountains( once a year, mild) in NC I really wont be doing off-roading...
