Over the weekend I changed a few settings for the hood ajar alarm with the JSCAN app and I could only get it to go off
By alarming the truck, opening the hood(no sound) and then closing the hood(sound).
I couldn't get the alarm to go off by opening the hood.
I decided to order last week a Badlands 12000 winch with a synthetic line. I got an email from Harbor yesterday that this item was BACKORDER and there is no delivery date available.
My original led fog lights didn’t fit my new bumper. Since I wasn’t sure the aftermarket will work, I got some generic / basic ones from Amazon.
I had to to cut the oem wires and
They seem to work just fine so far.
My Overland has all of the safety features. By changing out the front bumper, 35" tires and a 1.5" leveling kit didn't affect any of them since the camera/sensors are behind the rear-view mirror.
I would think a high lift kit may require some adjustments, but I don't know.
You can buy the original mopar aux switches, $269

Install is a bit challenging, but doable and plenty of videos
Buy the Jscan app, Bluetooth and cable for $80. This will allow you to enable them.
I installed the AUX switches over the weekend.
Biggest issues:
The zip ties are too short and hard to wrap them around.
I couldn’t figure out initially that you need to poke a hole in the rubber to get the cables inside.
I didn’t have the tool to take out the orange cable pin - I used 2 thick...
I am aware of the 8.5 as many other tires have these specs.
Many jeep owners have similar tires on 7.5 wheels- search the forum around. I don’t want to start debate...
This setup works for me at this time and will go to 9.5” wheels later on.
Cheers!
My overland has the Rubicon suspension(shocks/springs) and 1.5" teraflex leveling kit.
I spoke to Teraflex and they mention if I am just doing the 1.5" , no need to change anything else, but they definitively recommended their shocks. Many rubicon owners have the same setup as mine, but they...
The only comparison that I personally have on other 35s, are the nito graplers m/t on my old tundra.
The kenda's are much quieter on the road than the nito, but a bit more noiser then the falken 285/70 A/T aw3.
They stick out about 1/2-3/4" without rubbing. My overland has rubicon take off...
I got all of them done. I may go with wider wheels in the future, I rather get a bumper and winch first.
I got the kenda’s 35/12.5/R18 to 31-32 PSI and changed the tire size with JSCAN.
Overall it handles well. I do definitely feel the bigger tires on the gladiator coming from the falkens...
