When I went up to 38's, the tire, when slightly turned, would catch the front lip at full stuff. I had to add a bumpstop spacer to keep it from contacting. When I can find some shorty metal fenders I like, I'll get some, but for now I just went with the MetalCloak chop, so I can pull that...
Right on!
The comp thing is a lot of fun. Like most things, there are people that take it way to serious, but still quite a few that are like me, just out to have fun. The hobby world does bring out some interesting characters...lol. You should try one; they will hone your crawling skills for...
I went with the 4:88's on 37's and then went to 38's. It's still good on the highway, but I have a 7X14 enclosed trailer. It does okay in the flatlands of Oklahoma, but it would seriously struggle in the mountains. If I could do it over, I'd go 5.13's for sure.
Dude...this started about 5-6 years ago when I bought my son and grandson some SCX24's. Then figured I'd better get one to crawl with them. 11 total 1/10 scale rigs now and 4 total 1/24 scale rigs. Most all modded out of course. Lol
I'll get some detailed pics up later to show the chassis with the bodies off.
PowerWagon: It's a Traxxas TRX4 Sport, still on the stock chassis, but with some Rock Pirates shock mounts. It has a Hobbywing Fusion Pro brushless motor/esc, with a FlySky GT5 radio/receiver setup. The flatbed and...
You can buy the JT's in red or black. However, I'd suggest you find a local hobby shop and support them. They can point you to getting the correct batteries, chargers, accessories and any local clubs or crawling events...
Nice. Where did you get the wheel and beadlock ring setup?
I don't do much on the scale side, but comp a bit and trail with a local Facebook group.
It's a fun and very addictive hobby for sure...
Here's a couple of my more favorite rigs:
TRX4 Sport
Vanquish VS410 that is a J10 Golden Eagle...
I ran out to snap a pic and noticed the left side has been adjusted via terra-firma. Am I worried about it enough to run out and buy something different? Nope.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Currie has had a semi-float version and a matching front out for quite some time.

I still have my 83 J10. My great uncle bought it new in 1983. My dad inherited it in 1990 and passed it on to me in 1992. Lots of memories to be had in this old truck.
Lol. You need to understand you weren't there, but hey, thank you for such a knowledgeable insight how all things work.
Early spring in Colorado with snow, ruts, runoff turned what would normally be a level 5 trail into an easy 7-8.
Had both front wheels been touching terra-firma, I probably...
I started on 37's, with just a SteerSmarts tie-rod and Fox dampener. It worked well, but I had issues in situations where you have a bunch of weight on the front end, aired down, with the diff locked, the stock power steering would not turn the wheels unless I was rolling (going down super...
1) Tazr
2) Headliners (for the winter/cold & Middle Summer/Hot)
3) Bestop Sunrider (I know that's an odd choice, but I've enjoyed it a lot more than I ever thought I would)
