The extra protection is a big part of the equation for me. But man! Some of those are topping out at $300.I too have been looking at them (the wider plate type), but as rear crash protection as we don't have to worry about rocks around here. I'm just wondering if the slight addition to the vehicle's overall length will preclude me from using my already maxed out garage depth.
Nice Roll Bar. I like the retro look of it.I went with the Body Armor as well. Held up well after almost 5 years. Have to had to touch up the paint a few times after dragging it so it didn't rust too bad. 1/4" steel and wide coverage for the towing chain loops
I had to put a hitch clamp plate over the top of it because of the rattling. So it takes a little more effort to take it off and on (A U bolt with a plate on top and you can only get an open end wrench on them)
Well worth the $130 off of Amazon
