I have the short. There’s no reason for the standard. The receiver tube is longer, but it doesn’t need to be for the gladiator. My 37 fits fine with the short.
Thanks for the clarification. I called AJK Offroad and they confirmed the same. Stated that the short version was actually created for the Gladiator. Would you mind providing me with some pics that show the fitment ? TIA

I agree, after everything fell off the seats and I was looking at the ground out the windshield all you could hear was the skid plate sliding down.
What!? Holy shit.

Nice, the short seems to fit well. I see what you mean about only needing the short version... it appears to protect everything needing protection and still allow for a 37" spare.

What hole are you using ? The one closest to the spare ?

I think the outer one actually. I can’t remember though.

That’s a brand new Baja boss AT 37 with full tread. And it’s inflated to 27psi.

Nope that was the third time going down the same trail at the badlands in the quarry. VERY SLOW
Oh thank goodness. Yes. I’ve done the same. I’ve ridden the skid plate down descents with the two rear tires suspended. :)

AJK has been making them for a while for Warfab. It just now ships directly from them. They’re fantastic.

Agreed. Love mine. I think I've saved tweaking the rear bumper a few times with it. No hardcore rock crawling, but enough to make it a hugely useful piece of armor. Highly recommended!
