Looks like you did a great job !
Are the included screws "self tapping" ? or are they bolt/nut type ?
How much of a climbing angle were you left with when the ladder is on the ground ?
When the ladder is deployed to the bed side, the tailgate looks like it angles up due to the ladder...
I have lineX... but I initially bought a drop in. I definitely think if I was doing something heavy duty, I would temporarily install it.
Spray in is definitely more sexy and great for non-impact duty, but you are correct, if I'm potentially dropping bricks or logs, I would have better peace...
I purchased a very well built liner for $200 at my local H&H offroad shop. That even included the rear tailgate piece.
To bad your not close, I never installed it. I decided to go with the spray in from Line-X. I thought I only payed around $600.
Maybe it's your area, but I would shop...
I'm not familiar with the company or product,
but
If customer service is that bad, I would pass.
Just based on being a consumer, CS is always a big part of my buying equation.
Have you thought of an on demand air bag assist ? Not sure about specific models, but I've seen air bags inside the springs and other airbag setups that require no lift or allow you to lift when needed.
