LOL - reminds me of Iowa drivers - did the traffic mess cause the accident, or did all of the rubber-neckers and gawkers cause the traffic mess AFTER the accident.

i like this platform way better than FB or other social groups. Not as many crazies but the ones that are are super crazy. The moderators do a great job and the ones who help are amazing. Alas there are the one who gripe about asked and answered questions and chastise rather than mentor is probably the biggest turnoff for all these platforms. There are people who have questions and we are grateful for the who can answer.

In SoCal, the traffic mess is just a constant flow...so we can all blame each other

And I have to say I've been on a ton of boards over the years (and still frequent them when I'm on a boring meeting, ha) and considering this board is a single model (not all Jeeps), I believe this is one of the most active and informational.

I hope I don't jinx myself, but my gladiator is still running fine. I've paid it off, and I've pretty much bought all I want to buy for it. Not a lot to research at the moment for me at least.

I would believe sales are down, but I do see more gladiators in the wild as time goes by. When I got mine there was only one other JT in the garage at work - now there's at least a couple on each level. I occasionally pass another Gator and still get pretty giddy over it.

I don't see Jeep or Stellantis in the news all that much any more either.

When I got mine no one in my area had one . Now there are 3 that Are from my immediate area with in 15 miles . But lots of Jeep in WV , if ypu want off road , mud rocks ,creeks, overlanding , camping , back roads, gravel roads, dirt roads, hunting and camping . You can find it here. Seems like alot more JKU's and JL's . But honestly you would be surprised at the number of TJ's,CJ's and ZJ's I pass every week with mud on the tires.

That may be a good thing.

Eventually, I'd hope for a possible repatriation of the brand. Anything is possible.

Stellantis appears to has too many brands (14), and within those brands, generally few individual model offerings. Jeep however, is not an example of that.

One of the biggest problems with today's vehicles are powertrain impacting regulations, both global and domestic. These force frequent engine design changes and product line drops, that make it difficult to fully work out design and production bugs, and also stabilize parts supply chains --- that ultimately deliver sustained, trouble-free, affordable engine/drivetrain designs.

The 3-Generation, widely used (globally) MOPAR 3.0L Diesel (dropped in Jeeps) an example of that. Most new engines appearing in the domestic and global marketplace require many years to work out design flaws. The Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel is an example.

Warranty repairs are basically Band-Aids on design flaws. We're better off with higher quality/reliability, without the flaws, and extended warranties and the associated repair aggravation/use lapses.

As always follow the logistics adage -

Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS).

[An adage is a short, pithy saying that expresses a common truth or observation]

the worst is when someone is pulled over on the opposite side separated by a 5 foot median wall and people still slam the brakes to slow down. FFS people they are busy on the opposite side and have no way to even get to you!! Just drive

Yup - accident in westbound I80, media with concrete barrier between E and W bound, but the eastbound will still bottle up for the gawkers or dopes that don't realize there's tons of concrete between them and the other side - don't worry about it. Ain't gonna get to you unless the truck involved is carrying nukes or something.

Doesn't seem like as many crazy debates. Maybe all the good ones sold their Gladiators. Maybe there are less issues to talk about because everything has been fixed or no solutions. (There have not been any updates to the Tazer software for a year or more.)
It was hot when the Gladiator was new and mods were in their infant stages. I think everyone has settled in and the big debates have been squashed.

Also, the Gladiator is a small group compared to others. Seems the Wrangler forum is still thriving.

a shiny penny looses it sheen after being in your pocket a while, maybe that's what is happening here ?

Wow, this has progressed significantly since this morning. As someone else stated earlier, I too generaly lurk. I have owned my gladiator for 7 months now and it's my first real ownership of anything Jeep. So I fit in the new owner category.

With that said, I don't usually have anything of value to add to discussions. However i do read to learn, even if the thread is something I know I have no plans of doing. I still find it interesting (as I do with anything automotive, tech, or science). The questions that I do have usually have been addressed in another thread. This reality has the side affect of analysis paralysis, at times anyway.

I don't do social media so I appreciate forums like this. I plan to contribute more in the future as I slowly make my Gladiator mine. Some things are on hold with a son that is now driving age and a daughter that just got engaged.

That's my two pennies. Hoping to move up to nickels.
