Not always!!! At least from my experience.
Well, can say from experience earlier this year the Auto Park will at higher speeds! Like when it decides to, when a battery fails at 55 mph zone on a highway in busy end of work day traffic. I got to deal with that, no power steering, brakes lights...
My dislike was the $$$ all of these cost and why I haven't. Along with I've not decided to hack my tailgate up and build my own. Considering the dang 3rd brake light in it doesn't always work as it is (on mine) and I've been in it before to reconnect the plug a few times. It's a lower...
Back O.T. I get the best deal fluids that meet OEM specs. On modern automatic transmissions it's not a place to screw around with "Bob's super snake oils" in several recent models the transmission replacement is starts over $12000.00 in a common budget car. Not a 4x4 or sports car even. My...
For many years I had one in my toolbox, the last cans I remember that you needed one for was motor flush crap that really shouldn't be used.
I've still got an pump oil can not a vintage one but do and use it. ATF fluid in it.
Anyone towing a utility trailer with a mesh rear gate empty, if you can lay it flat on the floor it will help on the mpgs. Especially if you are Hauling tail down the highway. If I had not "lifted" my light duty trailer I would have left the original gate off and kept the one I built on. Less...
I keep my trailer weight under 4500 lbs in general. I've been over that on some short towing possibly. Any distance probably 3500 lbs. I known on one trip I definitely was way more due to ice.
New cellphone so no photos from it on this one.
Hmmm, I'm at the point "it's a design feature" :headbang:
I've had it happen with my 91 Comanche, 90, 91 Cherokee's, 05 Wrangler Unlimited, and even today with my Gladiator. In some of gas stations the fuel delivery is to high volume and or agitated with air. I've got to the point...
Yeah, Bill I thought about adding you on the post. Knowing your thoughts about it and starters life cycle, engine wear ect. A question when does a internal combustion engine receive most of it's wear? The school of though I've always heard is start up. :like:
FYI I think we have discussed...
I've bought a few sets of tires and rims for my JT. First set OEM HT off of a member here's Max-Tow, I used them until I got tired of plugging them. Second set off of JL Rubicon (5) setting under a tarp on pallet to be installed when my current tires need replacement.
So "You do You Boo"...
Yeah, I was reading this thread and stopped to see if I could find what was left of my 05 Wrangler throwout bearing it made it almost 200000 miles. The clutch, pilot bearing and it were totally worn out. Clutch fingers were about razor blades. ;) That was 3 weeks before I got my Gladiator in...
Before, I installed a 2in lift I had installed 33" tires on stock rims and have been running them for well over 55,000 miles. I could have fit 35" tires without rubbing likely. I have a Sport S with "Max-Tow" package. I don't think I want that hit (35" + tires) when towing.
Where you are and...
I definitely was using them words at home. I just don't want to throw away the road hazard, rotation and balance that I paid for with the tires. That day didn't get much better, latter I started to gas station to fill up. Right front TPMS decided to quit working of course that starts the...
Some loosely calculations of a higher number is still substantial less than 5% of failures. Going with say "20,000" have had this problem out of 10,000,000 kinda puts it in perspective. That's 20 engines out of 10,000 vehicles. Or 10 out of 5,000 vehicles. Factor in how some of the vehicles...
According to the car facts emails I receive mine is worth about $19000.°° overall "IDGF" about it. I didn't buy it to sell it, I bought it to drive it. With my past experiences with multiple Jeeps being low maintenance, and cost per mile of use (MPG not withstanding) and extremely reliable...
So what did I do to my Gladiator today. Got up at 0500, coffee and breakfast now off to change steering linkage, check brakes, and wanted to change transmission filter... That went to s### spent over a hour getting lug nuts off right side tire. Next the other tire same problems. The place that...
With the percentage of failures vs fairly problem free numbers it is certainly low. But when it happens it draws in people like moths to a fire.
No animosity at you or for posting it. I'd like to see the actual stats of failures and numbers produced along with average miles without failures...
I try to keep covers on my winches too. Or at least synthetic lines. Being the tightwad that I can be I've stitched up them myself. A few out of marine vinyl and others from canvas. The latter get very stiff over years.
Having a power disconnect could possibly cut down on corrosion, but...
