  1. Standard (Imperial) or Metric Sockets?

Buy what ever brand of tool truck ones you want if you want to send that company's kids to college. Otherwise H.F., H.D. Lowe's branded work well enough for home use. This dead horse is beat already. I've spent stupid amount of money on name brand tools, along with a lot less for many H.F...
  2. New JT owner this weekend....having some issues.

Start with a notebook and write down your concerns and noises for when you take it back in for fixes. Sugar gets more flies than salt when dealing with service department. A few wild @@@ guesses the start stop might be due to fully depressed brake pedal and or the AC being on or other load on...
  3. COLORED Truck bed coating, I love the color, wife was dead set against it, I won. (Actually, she allowed it)

Yeah, I'm dealing with "DYI bed liner" in my Comanche cab.. it protected the floor on topside more or less. And a real PTA to remove in some areas. My first choice is commercial job done with bed liners. If it was going to be a straight up work truck hauling what ever I'd do a DYI and double...
  4. 3.6 pentastar 2020 major problems - Is the newer engine better in 2025 etc.

I really hope so. I damn sure can't afford to replace it. If it comes to that I might just sell off most of my stuff and move to a third world country. I was actually checking out a driving route to Panama this morning. It would be one oil change in route for my Wrangler. The glitch is...
  5. Seats are Hard as a Rock. More comfortable aftermarket seats?

Noticably different in 2020 Sport vs Rubicon seats. I test drove both before I got mine. The Sport seats were more ridgid via my butt meter. :giggle: On the topic of something to try, get a bath towel fold up and try it in few different places on seat, if you have a seat cover place it...
  6. 3.6 pentastar 2020 major problems - Is the newer engine better in 2025 etc.

( I cut out some of your reply to shorten this post. ) Engine coolant has got up to 230°F, and transmission I believe I've seen 212°F but normally just over 200° normally, engine oil temperature is listed later. The engine rpms I try to keep on lower side of 3000 mostly. And also I use cruise...
  7. 3.6 pentastar 2020 major problems - Is the newer engine better in 2025 etc.

After reading though this thread... I guess I'm driving around with a 3.6 ready to hand grenade it's self. 101406 miles spent more than half of the miles towing trailers up to 5k, running slightly larger than stock tires, in hot weather, up & down hills, down shifting to 3-4 gears and rpms in 5k...
  8. Clayton Offroad Spring Install Problems

Not "Clayton springs" but I installed 2" lift kit, springs on my Max-Tow ended with rear sagging like that stupid Carolina squat crap. (So factory Max-Tow springs with spacers went back in) Mine is loaded down some topper, gear, fridge, water tank, ect, ect. I figure I'll be ordering 3.5 rear...
  9. Anybody got a Wrangler?

At times you may regret getting a 2 door but it depends on your intended use. In good weather doors n top off is great along with you can just stuff gear in back "easy" enough though the back tailgate. Experience's from others may differ.... My Wrangler is TJ Unlimited manual transmission...
  10. What do you all think of Rusty's offroad lift kits?

Late response, I've used Rusty's stuff on my XJ and now on my JT the caveat is the springs for the rear were not up to the job on mine a Max-Tow package. So factory with spacers are in the rear on mine. Until I decided to order a set from some other company with higher spring rate too. BTW...
  11. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

On road stopped to take a break and get some food n coffee.... As soon as I started for the door the rain hit.
  12. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Yeah I know that, but it would be a want for me if I had a diesel Gladiator still
  13. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

I'd like to have the diesel one but it was released later than mine. If so I still would want the 4:10 gears in axles at least. Looking back at 2021-22 when I was being hounded to trade in at silly offers I should have. Now at 101200 miles only frustration was the batteries...
  14. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

    On topic of this thread.
  15. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

I kinda remember a similar situation but to the East of you in IL but many are on 5-10 miles squares of land. On the topic of this thread..
  16. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Damn it's getting bad.... Now Rubicon and Mojave owners are trying to be "Max-Tow" equipped. :giggle:
  17. Gun guys (and gals)

Something along with that I got told by a buddy of mine early in my time as a cop. It's really soaked in during training with other officers with simunitions especially to find various blue simunitions marks... Along with showing me there was more than a few who I never wanted in a stack with...
  18. What's your take: TearDrop / SquareDrop / Micro-Camper/Trailer

"Thread drift but some experiences" I was building a teardrop trailer, it was scrapped by my move and I ordered my Scamp T.T. so I have a little knowledge on them, definitely not as much as many. Then (2000-2005) the concept of off-road trailers or back roads trailer were not a common thing in...
  19. Swapping up to the 4.10s

As a apples compared to watermelons or carrots. I can understand your selection. As no skin in this the chart is a guide. Years ago with my XJ used it as a guide too. Factory tire size of 215-225 tires and 3:55 I re-geared to 4:56 and 33-35 tires with gasser 4.0 I actually got better performance...
  20. What Did You THINK Was Wrong w/ Your Gladiator, But Wasn’t?

I've heard that one myself about the same time frame, either the guy(s) did it to a few or many vehicles or it's a urban legend thing. I started reading this thread and thought I'd better get a nice glass of bourbon for this. I've had a few WTF with my Gladiator but not any good ones that...
