I did and have done it many times without troubles.
I double checked everything when I got home, all was good.
Used a WIX filter as I did the previous time.
After driving about 400 miles after oil change, I got a RED no oil pressure warning while driving.
I checked and it was between 28-35psi depending on RPM. I didn't hear any noise, so we stopped for lunch. After eating I checked the oil and under hood NO evidence of a problem. Fired it up and ALL...
So they went through all the labor Removed and reinstalled but wanted 267 to install a new filter? I'd say you screwed them right. by making them eat the labor.
Anyone know if the factory has addressed this problem?
I'm expecting NO, how can any company put crap speakers in a convertible considering that it will have an abondance of wind noise.
This goes back 10 yrs. I was at a engine machine shop that also was a diesel fuel pump and injector repair shop. They recommended Stanadyne products.
I've been using it in all my diesels. Been very happy with.
As a safety margin the trans won't let you shift too prematurely like under 33MPH for 7th and 8th is 41 mph so you can't do something really stupid like rolling 25 mph and dumping it in 8th gear.
When you are in Auto mode watch how the shifts are all dragged out, hell many times to get into 7 & 8 gear you're running 50 +.
In manual I can short shift and be in top gear at 41MPH. By doing this it greatly ingress the MPG.
I guess it goes back to my roots of driving a stick shift.
Just did a road trip from TN to OH & MI back to TN in bone stock Overland, speeds where 71-79 mph 95% highway with maybe 1/2 hr. of idling time what seemed like 80% head wind or very close to it temps in the 20's range. I always run in manual shift mode.
2,071.8 mile
27.8 mpg
36.52 hrs. running...
Yesterday I made a 600-mile road trip that I've done many times. Normally I would get 30-31 MPG mostly summertime trips. Yesterday I got 27.0 temps where in the mid twenty's. Bone stock Overland.
{ 310-mile round trip.... my Gladiator would never make that without filling up. }
You have a Gladiator that can't go 310 miles on a tank? WTF do you drive it in 3rd gear.
