37x11.50 available on 20", haven't seen anything skinnier (could be some swamper types perhaps but not something you'd normally run) and agree it would be nice to some 37/35x11.50's on 17" wheels! yes please, i'm running 37x12.50 falken MT and they look skinny, the tread width is 1/2" less than...
ya it'll be awful close to rub, the 37 ko2's run notoriously short so they will be a 37" tire least likely to rub, and the rubicon/max tow axles already 1/2" wider either side which is essentially 12mm advantage over the sports to begin with
if you get slight rub on control arm it's pretty easy to pop a washer or two under the steering stops, you won't need more than that worst case to run that offset on your sport s
i'm running 37's on a sport s with +32 offset and i needed 4-5 washers under each steering stop to stop the rub on...
i run mostly truck duty, with sport s on 37's, for spare i went steel 18" and a 285 75r18, little taller than 35 but the thinnest option, looks to hang down about even with the hitch now, when the 12.5" 35 i tried looked like it needed to take a dump...anyway, just don't lock up on the axle it...
if they could use that bld system in 2wd for the rear to ensure fast safe merges into traffic making right turns onto streets i wouldn't need any of this stuff other than the bld that engages in 4wd...that's my single drivetrain pet peeve, trying to scoot into traffic and the inside goes...
levels as i've come to understand
1. Open Diff with bld system factory (pretty dang good, extra for snow/mud, will still go in the rocks but with drama...you need spin to engage)
2. LSD, trac-loc type - clutch pack based (mine lasted maybe 60,000 kms in ram 1500...hate this option, why bother?)...
you also have max tow which are 1/2" wider axles on each side, so that's an additional 12mm or 1/2" of offset the sport s do not have...so you'll likely hit the control arms at lock on a sport s going to 12.5" wide tires, so either shim the steering stops or get some coyote 1/2" diecast wheel...
if you have instagram, @gladiatoryyc
sport s 6-speed, 37's on stock wheels, 2" mopar with 3/4" spacers up front, needed 1/2" wheel spacers and a few washers under the steering stops to stop the control arm rub at lock, super tight minimal poke set up for 37's on a non max tow/rubicon, only the...
you may find the 2" mopar lift is only one part number for all gladiators so the payload should be there and then some, i can attest that the ride quality of my sport s went down with the mopar, most notably on the front, quite a bit stiffer on the front to the point i removed the front sway and...
there are steering stops that you can add a few washers to stop any full lock rub on the control arms if you're trying to stay tight on the positive offset...i need 4 washers drivers side and 5 washers passenger side to run 37's on a non max tow/rubicon with stock wheels, also need 12 mm wheel...
i just switched out 35x12.50 spare for a 285 75r18 spare, the 285 being a bit taller tire, but the tread is above the bottom line of the hitch, the sidewall hangs just a touch below the bottom line of the hitch...easy 1.5" less hang down than the 12.50 wide tire...appears possibly up to 2" less...
when you get the taxer, i needed programming of 34.44 for the 35's i ran and i'm on 37's now, they required 36.45 setting to equalize the speedo at 80 mph to gps speed
mine was a sport s, it came with a 32.24" setting even though my tires were rated at 31.5" tall, so it looks to me like they...
not really, some data for the thread mostly, or if you want to do some stuff with wife's glad...just adding some experience with narrow axle minimum offset requirements to offset thread
i have a sport s 6-speed so the narrow axles, and narrow fenders to suit, those max tow fenders look a lot like the rubicons wider fenders, at the least the rears do, i have run 37x12.50's on the stock sport s wheels, and to eliminate control arm rub at lock i've added 12mm spacers and then had...
man would i sure love it if you could take a tape measure to the tread width of those and report back, cannot find a 'tread width' measurement on 11.50's anywhere
my falken mt's 37x12.50 also measure just a touch over 36" and run a 10" treadwidth, a full half inch less contact width than the...
ya i have power locks, when you lock it even hitting the button not remote then as soon as you enter with key the alarm goes off, that key with a lock unlock button and a remote would be ideal, no issue with the start method you've got
