I’m looking hard at both the RSI Smartcap and the ARE CX Classic to replace my Rebel Off Road full rack. I like the rack, but I want to go a different direction and not have an open bed to keep my stuff secure. On form vs function, and I’m more function than form, but I do like the lines of the...
I’d go straight to the service department, tell them you’re dropping off the Jeep to get the corrosion repaired, ask them to get it done in a week and get a ride home. Let them handle it all.
My dealer did both JLs with bubbling paint immediately. One had bubbling on a door’s edge and the other had it in a few areas on the hood. The JL with the hood issue is being picked up today. I just called them, said it needed to be fixed, dropped it off and let them do their thing.
Looks good. How did you run the bed rack wires to the front? I’ve been thinking about doing the same. Down the front of the bed to the rail underneath?
Thanks. So do I. I have 37’s on them. They are 17x8.5”. I had the dealership order them for me when I bought the JT. Part num is 77072494AB. Some Mopar web stores are selling them for $285 or so right now.
I just installed the Clayton 3.5 with the Fox, and it’s as floaty as hell. I can’t stand it. The shocks also introduced some wobble over bumps that I’m trying to fix by lowering tire pressure. I came from the Mopar springs/Fox shocks.
Take a look at South Bay Truck and 4 Wheel Drive (https://southbaytruck.com/). Frank goes way back in the Jeep world. His dad had a dealership a long time ago in AZ area, and there's also some NASCAR blood in the family. He just installed my Clayton and some Steer Smart stuff. It's a smallish...
My daughter was ducked in her JL. She thought it was great. I went to amazon and bought two dozen ducks. I ducked Jeep her every day for three weeks. She's done with the whole ducking thing now.
Not really. High residuals are generally because of support for a car/truck by the manufacturer. This means you pay more at lease end. If market values are low, and you buy high, that’s not a good thing.
High residuals only mean lower payments all things equal.
Thanks. I'm taking a look at those. The only other issue that came up is potential binding of the driveshaft at full droop. I think I am going to go the teraflex route. I appreciate the responses.
