  1. Death Wobble settlement agreement in class-action case could mean reimbursement for some Jeep owners

Some time ago I was trying to get the wandering fixed in our '19 JLU. There was a lot of talk back then about the damper being the cause. And there were so many posts. Some the damper was installed upside down after service. That ruined it, and they had to be replaced again Doesn't seem...
  2. Death Wobble settlement agreement in class-action case could mean reimbursement for some Jeep owners

And the instructions say 5 full strokes, extension/compression before installing. By hand. Maybe that's why they fail when installed in the factory or at dealers. Mopar 68251580AE Steering Stabilizer for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT The Quadratec® Difference Includes Phone...
  3. 2022 JTRD stolen from driveway (don't let it happen to you)

I wanted the trail cam. I'm glad it's there. I think that the Bolt is an incredible design. I *hope* they come out with a solution. I've seen people move the trail cam and then use a Bolt latch. I wish that Jeep would find a way to provide front and rear dash cams.
  4. 2022 JTRD stolen from driveway (don't let it happen to you)

Thanks. Bolt would have been my choice. We have the forward facing trail camera there. I contacted Bolt. They don't have anything that fixes that right now.
  5. 2022 JTRD stolen from driveway (don't let it happen to you)

Chris I'm sorry to hear your rig was stolen. I'm a has-been Ottawa lad. Just added hood locks for the two tabs on the side. I'll look at the Ghost II system. Thanks for the hint. DaveL (ex-Bell's Corners)

  7. Apple CarPlay issue fixed with most recent iOS 15.2.1?

Thanks. I tried a CarplayKit 4 in my JLUR '22. It crashed every trip; no patience left. Returned it to amazon.ca The manufacturer said it was because I had devices connect to my iPhone 10SE using bluetooth & wifi. I'm really interested in finding a device that works. DaveL Toronto
  8. Washington Carlinkit Wired-to-Wireless Car Play adapter

I am having issues with the Carlinkit 4 I installed. It keeps freezing or dropping out every trip. It's a pain.
  9. High Altitude with aftermarket AT Tires & ACC vs factory stock Rubicon or Mojave (my first Gladiator)

Dealers up here (Ontario Canada) said would have to order a Jeep to get the options wanted. 5-6 months. Started looking for a High Altitude too . Takes a lot of looking to find a well equipped Jeep. Bought a JLUR on a dealer's lot. Fully equipped. Look hard; bet you'll find the Gladiator...
  10. Losing hats

I've used straps I've made from 2 alligator clips and parachute cord. My favourite hat is a Tilley Hat made for sailors. Two straps. Under chin. Another at base of my scalp. Wear it in sports cars too.

  12. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

I'm Canadian. I'm grateful that @JeepCares referred me to FCA Jeep Canada Customer Care. The rep there explained the routine was different here, in spite of what it said on the TSB. We had a long talk. He learned I was serious about getting the work done. He became very helpful when I assured...

  15. WTF, first fuel, now DEF?

At least we don't hear about makers *cooking* the software to pass the test. VW rings a bell....and others.
  16. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

My JLU was a 2019. I had the steering gear replaced using the first TSB, soon after it came out. Wasn't perfect. I've followed all the issues since. Figured I would let it be as it was. I hurd "It's a Jeep Thing" a whole bunch of times. The first TSB came out about while the JLU was under...
  17. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

They should follow the TSB. I don't have it in front of me. Vague memory--because my steering gear was already replaced--on my 2019 Wrangler JLU in the more recent TSB an alignment was included. and something else, can't remember. It's important to read the TSB, print it and take it to the...

Your posts have helped me a lot too. Situation is different in Canada...Ontario. The selling dealer (leasing) was always polite, but never helped. PM ok? Dave edit: Selling dealer never allowed a drive with the tech doing the work. When work was done (?) They would always be polite. They...

  20. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

I *think* that they need to look for signs. * Black steering box? (silver one was replaced) * Tires inflated properly (in case they are overinflated) More important, * Power steering reservoir full to the line? What bothers me is that the flash upgrade may not have been done. Each TSB has...
