well at least we know. I’ve been concerned how most w ecodiesels don’t have this noise. Well truth be told they’re probably just not hearing it and considering it normal diesel sound.
Thanks for following up.
yes talking about the HPFP and maybe just me wondering if that’s it. But dealer and logic says if that HPFP goes you lose performance and MPGs. I am fine on both of those…just the chirping.
i just called the dealer. They have no parts or fix for this recall on the fuel system yet. if it fails they install new OEM, but not the "fix". That doesn't exists yet. And that's just assuming its what is causing our chirp.
Yeah i'm starting to wonder if its fuel related myself. I pointed it out to my oldest son this week and now he can't NOT hear the chirp. We do a lot of high volume radio driving!
hey thanks for keeping this alive. I’ve seen that thread. It’s not the same. His seems to associate w the steering. Mine is rpm matched to the engine. It’s like there’s a hole in the charge tube and boost is escaping under throttle w a rhythm that matches the rpm. Similar pitch at tone as that...
Ok most of the small stuff is gone

Honestly no. The diesel is my wife’s. Out of site out of mind. I’m helping my boss build a demon gladiator and have been real distracted. BUT I hate riding in the diesel. I have really tried to pinpoint the rattles and squeaks from the back, with no luck yet (and I’ve taken the glass panels out...

I haven’t heard it through the exhaust. When she pulls in the drive I can hear it from the engine bay but not the exhaust. When driving only hear it from front. It’s annoying that’s for sure. I just need to take the time to check the charge pipes for leaks.
