That's my Boy with the Judge and handler. He is now a AKC Champion with a herding and obedience title. Lots of camping trips planned in the future with the JT.
A light duty diesel would be great if the EPA would get their hands off it and let the mfg make it clean and efficient without a ton of smog crap on it that makes it so problematic and just a real pain to maintain.
While it will probably get to the JL, JT lines, it will replace the V8 first. Ram 1500, cars and SUVs. Think of a Ram 1500 towing an 8K trailer up a grade with a 3L turbo V6 in 100+F temps.
I suggest to the OP that he go slow on the mods before he falls into a very deep rabbit hole. The lift and tires are the last thing you do after you have gained knowledge of what you really want and how to get there. Sounds like he wants "the look" more than ability. For a DD with the look I...
Mine is ordered now. I went with the matching color paint, standard slider windows, dual locks on the rear window. Dealer suggested the dual locks as they do a better job of closing and keeping it sealed. I see most here have the one center handle. How well does that keep things sealed up...
It looks like in the next few years we will be getting a Hurricane engine in the JT's with a huge HP jump.Possibly better MPG. By then most of us will have our JT fully modded. Question is will we be willing to spend the thousands and start over to get the new I-6 engine with the twin turbo...
This Rubicon Gladietor, loaded, is the best vehicle I have ever owned next to my 2014 2500 Ram Laramie diesel. Sad that I will only keep it for 7 years, then move on. I'll probably part with my diesel in another 3.
Yes a trick to get the velcro to stick to the factory bedliner. Apply a thin smooth coat of clear epoxy to where you want the velcro to stick. When that epoxy gets hard it isn't going anywhere.
I like that you can adjust the Synergy CA's without removing them. Not sure how strong that is along with the Dual Durometer bushing. The spring rate would be very helpful when adding a camper or front bumper and winch. Added weight could turn a 2 inch lift into a 1 inch lift.
Believe me I know what this jeep suspension is. I replaced every part of my JKUR suspension, some more than once. Even a Fusion 4x4 track bar and drag link. Installed the JKS geo brackets. IMO better than Rancho. I learned that everyone says it rides great. Great to some must mean like a log...
Looking to do a small quality lift under 2 inches. I learned the hard way with a 4 inch lift on a JKUR. Besides a spacer lift, does anyone make a quality lift at 2 inches or less. Mojave Road and Death Valley off road, not Rubicon Trail. Must maintain a great highway ride.
I have the spray in factory bed liner that resists the velcro stick on. Even the bedrug adhesive helper is weak at best. Thinking of just using a good contact glue or epoxy. I want a bed liner that is molded to the floor corrugations to make a smooth flat floor. Bedrug is about all there is. Any...
The cab is mounted to the frame with rubber mounts that flex. If you mount sliders to frame and cab you are making that solid and something will eventually crack. IMO, a good cab mount that spreads the hit over the entire length will be good enough for what I will do.
I need something with a smooth step mounted high and tight. Have a big dog and don't want a foot to get hung up with bars or holes. The Mopar Enhanced rails look good to me as I don't like rocks much. If they are as strong as the Rubicon Factory rails then I am good. Now to find them. Seems most...
