Any time a dealer says "you must hurry" a red flag goes up. Not saying they're wrong, just saying hold on, time to hit pause and double check.
In my experience lead times for a special order are 6 to 10 weeks. Not sure about the cutoff date for special orders but I'd swear it's way beyond...
I ordered Gobi (still happy I did) but wow that Gator looks fantastic. A lot less dark green than I thought it had, and in a good way. I don't think you go wrong either way.
What triggers the black grill? Is that on all Rubicons, or is it a Gator thing? I figured my Gobi Rubi grill would be...
Really? I love how different it is. But who knows - I may end up liking the gray. I'll know around mid December.... What I'd really like is to find someone to do a hood swap - I'll give them the Rubi "fake hood vents" hood for a regular one. Any local Gladiator owners got Gobi?
Too fast. For most of us, this is doing it wrong. Jeep's commercial is just that: commercial. Marketing. Scripted, rehearsed and paid for. Not real. Gladiator isn't a buggy. If you've got the funds, go for it, absolutely!
Speed is fine on a track, but on a trail or even a dirt road, what's the point? Perhaps fun, but when you're dealing with imperfect surfaces, speed introduces a lot of risk. I've watched buggy hill climbs on youtube and while they're entertaining, can't help thinking about how much they're...
If you have deeper pockets, go for what you want and spend the money making corrections as needed. If not, run the stock tires out and save your money while becoming more familiar with the rig in its stock configuration, so that when you're ready to buy, you're better informed of its...
I had saddle brown in the '14 JK, and back then it wasn't just the seats. The brown was used on door trim, lower dash, console trim, etc. and to me it looked better than the Gladiator's brown seats only with everything else black. But I'll get used to it. Maybe I'll order tan slush mats.
I ordered the Rubi with manual and I tow a 3,300 lb trailer twice a year (plus occasional other trips), plus a 2,000+ load every weekend in the summer.
Test drove the auto, not the manual, but for a Jeep/truck I definitely want a manual. It's a lifestyle thing. My JK manual 2-door was okay...
I think it would look great with gator, but I went with Gobi. I prefer the "shades of brown" theme (including tan). Gator or Gobi, you're still talking about earthy/outdoors color palette and I bet either will look great.
Though I find it odd that (according to videos and Build Your Gladiator)...
Within reach of driver's position, in case I'm trapped in the seat after a crash. Doesn't do a lot of good mounted to the roll cage at the rear in that scenario. When I had the JK, used an aftermarket bracket that mounted to the driver's seat bolts, with a quick release. Easily accessible, yet...
Hi all, first post, glad to be on the forum.
Considering dual tops with the premium sunrider top.
I know the sunrider folds all the way back and rests at the top of the rear window, but does it also let you flip back the very front section only? (keeping the rest of it covering the rear...
