Just so everyone knows, after me complaining about the lack of information FCA provides about our build orders and the multiple variations of "your vehicle is going to get built some day soon", JeepCares offered to have me contact them directly to clear things up for me.
I sent them my VIN and...
Wow, I also ordered with Leon on 9/17, went into D status with VIN on 9/22, and was given estimated ship date of 11/5. So your order is almost 3 weeks after mine and your ESD is only 1 day later?!
I went into status D1 on 10/8. I'm now checking with JeepCares every day and getting slightly...
YES! Due to the season of ordering, I'm starting with the hard top, and my plan was to buy soft next spring. I might even wait another year if nothing is still available. I'm not a huge fan of how that Mopar one works. I want it all the way down and I don't care if it gets in the way of the...
Hey Folks,
I just purchased the Trail Rail and Jeep rubber floor mats at BAM. I did a lot of searching for prices and stumbled across two things:
1. There is a code "10OFF" for $10 off your order of $200 or more. I entered the code in the check out process and it worked.
2. I checked out...
Update# 3
9/17 Ordered
9/22 Status D
10/8 Status D1 with estimated ship date of 11/5
UHG! This is putting me right up against my camping trip. I'm going to be devastated if I'm not taking it with me. I'm hitting the road on 11/6, so I guess there is still a chance if it ships early. I'm not...
I was on the opposite side of your assessment here. I agree with everything, it's just that I DON'T really want to tinker with the major things, like axel, suspension/lifts, and all the 4x4 goodies. Plus, I really liked those standard black Rubicon wheels.
I will tinker with the little easy...
With the Overland being the luxury version, here are a couple details I don't think have been mentioned yet. The overland has the standard suspension, compared to Rubicon with a 1" lift. So if you are wondering why the more expensive trim does NOT have an 18" inch wheel, here is my guess:
The...
I once had success filing a complaint with the BBB. Manager asked me to sit in his office and asked me "how can I make this right?".
If it were me, I would think the fastest and most stress free next step would be another dealership, now knowing the wording you should use. If that fails, then...
Dang...half inch thick solid rubber is pretty intense. That's a lot of material. I know it's expensive, but some people need it, some people don't. I "want" it haha.
After more thinking, I've flip flopped again and wonder if prioritizing #4 is more important, which rules out the diamondback. I'm trying to think how I would realistically use the top of a diamondback with the cleats, and I'm thinking I wouldn't.
But then I start thinking about down the road...
My 2 cents on how I was thinking about options: If it's easy to buy and install aftermarket, skip the Mopar option. The main items I refused to pay Mopar for were the fenders ($700), steel front bumper ($800), and wheel upgrade ($1000!).
You can get some really sick looking fenders after...
I'm stuck after researching covers for days. Let me start with the boxes I'm trying to check:
1. Keep cargo underneath protected and dry (sure, they all do that)
2. Security/lockable (this rules out all soft covers)
3. Ability to haul on top of cover and have tie down points. (Diamondback)
4...
At first, I thought, "How in the hell did a shopping cart scratch your door so badly with that huge side step you have protecting it." Then I looked closer....
It almost seems as if the FCA code, once obtained, is not tied to her. I imagine it's like a coupon code or something. But I could be wrong. Maybe there is some tracking behind the scenes that I'm not aware of.
I tried searching this forum for an answer about it, but didn't come across...
Update #2:
Ordered 9/17, received VIN and status D today, 5 days later. I have a camping trip in November, and I'm crossing my fingers that my JTR is coming with me!
Ah, yeah that's no good if you plan on getting a little wet. Maybe patience is needed here then. There are just not a whole lot of aftermarket items that are JT proprietary. But since the dash is the same as the JL, I'm very surprised there are not more. I guess there isn't a huge market for...
Check out the brand "stinger". I stumbled across them on Amazon while looking for other JT stuff. I noticed they had a really nice looking 10" massive screen setup for JKs.
