Measure twice, cut once!:) But seriously this vehicle lends itself to be modded.
If youāre leasing I understand not disturbing
oem. If you bought, have at it, enjoy and personalize! Iāve always modified my cars.
Good & bad results. You always learn something. Currently learning to weld...
To the right of the headlight selector switch.
2 thumb dials. The one on the right (farthest from light switch) I believe controls interior lites. If you turn them off though I believe your dash lites may be very dim.
Double check that manual.:like:
That roof liner is sweet! I had a ā92 GTi with a very German-esc interior. Loved it!
Iām currently working on a ā73 Porsche 914 GT resto. Again love the plaid German interiors. The combo you have with the tan/saddle seats is excellent!
Great taste Steffan
Aww man, wish I knew of this earlier. Would
have planned. Committed to something else this mornā Enjoy. Hopefully catch up with some Philly JT owners soon.
:sun: Went for a nice drive with 1/2 the top off.
The Mrs and my pup enjoyed with me.
Yes my pup is anchored to the tow hook.
Plenty of deer in the area and sheās an
Elghund. Sheās bred to track them. Didnāt want her to wander while I took a snap.
Ok,next! Well we did get an opportunity today to mount the Rubi rims and Falken tyres. My lift is currently occupied with a resto project, so luckily my my mechanic buddy let me use his shop lift. I tell you what, I was surprised by how much more the
Rubi/tyres weigh compared to the Overlands...
Steffen believe it or not just bought a small roll of static cling tint from Pepboys I measured it and cut it for my field of vision.
Sprayed some soapy water on and Wallah!
Since my Overland doesnāt have the ābig black boxā around the rear view mirror. The vertically challenged one here placed a tinted strip film up front. Cause every morning that big beautiful orange ball would sear my retinas, always where the visors werenāt. Problem solved.:like:
Thanks Ben,
Yes that would be cool. Iād be in for a Gladiator Forum emblem/sticker. If anyone reading this could organize a group buy of them, be awesome. Iām terrible at running that sort of endeavor. Could the fella running pixiedecals help out?
Brilliant idea Benbean66 !
Thanks for the feedback. I havenāt purchased one yet. I just have the āColorado ā bed cover on and the āBarricadeā debris deflector. Hope to bolt on the Rubicon rims tomorrow.
And the plot thickens......whoās our engineering gurus out there? Or is this a matter of computational fluid dynamics?
Aerospace fellas, anyone?:whatsgoingon::)
On issue #1 Iād say itās the adaptive transmission getting its self sorted out.
Maybe give er a few more miles. I can detect mine downshifting as well but not as āfierceā as you described. Overall yes take it to the dealer have the tech ride shotgun with you. They should be able to plug in to...
Not explored the engine bay yet. Looks like an air intake maybe in conjunction with pcv or is it under the cowl for fresh air for the cabin? Someone who knows better will chime in.
Thanks for taking the time to do a write up.
I hope to do this eventually as I have an Overland. Would make a decent step back there as well for certain situations. Have it bookmarked. Looks great.
Just posting in the āofficialāāsign in
We took delivery on 8/31. Ordered on 7/17
It really is a fun vehicle. Itās pretty cool when a little boy in a Wrangler next to ya leans out his window and waves and says āhi, Jeep wave!ā While his dad gives ya a thumbs up.
