If the small EVAP leak fault comes back every single time you fill up with gas, then it may well just be a bad cap. Since it's a 2024, it would make sense that a new cap should be an easy thing to get under warranty. Hell, the cap's cheap enough it might be worth just buying one and swapping...
Follow that smaller diameter EGR pipe forward to where it sits above the front of the DPF and has a flange where it bolts to another pipe -- right atop that bolted flange is where the wire harness is known to rest and get overheated, causing faults.
^^Good example showing why I feel a tarp works better for keeping out the weather. In my experience and observation, the trail covers don't effectively cover the door openings. I'm not saying trail covers are bad, I have and use one for my TJ, I'm just saying that for more than short term use...
An oil temperature of 210°F is perfectly normal for a fully warmed engine and in no way shocking. For sustained highway/motorway speeds at the temperature range you're expecting for your trip, I would consider 220-235°F to be normal for your oil.
That's the point that seems to get skipped over in the posts positing that the cause is a simple materials or finishing issue with the camshafts and/or rockers -- why is the problem so much more prevalent on the right cylinder head?
It was a 2019 Civic. Had to look at the accident report to figure out what it was since all the badging disappeared when both the front and rear end got ripped off.
I did end up going to the emergency room to get checked out. Nothing bad showed up in x-rays or CT scan, thankfully came out with just some soft tissue strain.
No way I can prove it, but that's my theory. She did admit fault and say she was in a hurry to go meet a friend, my guess is she was likely texting with said friend at the time.
I would definitely expect that to be covered by warranty. If the cover and camera aren't damaged and you don't feel like messing with the dealership however, the camera is held in place with a sliding retainer bracket inside the tailgate. Again, if nothing's damaged or needing replaced, it...
Headed into town earlier this week, only a couple miles on the interstate and cruise set at 72mph, when I suddenly caught a glimpse in the outside mirror of a silver car closing fast and veering towards me. Absolutely no time to react or even say anything and the truck got nailed in the left...
