  1. How well are they really selling overall?

I got mine for invoice and it was the first truck load (they got two almost identical rubicons). First one was ordered, I grabbed the second one. It had only been on the lot 3 days. Might want to look down here, not sure what you're looking for. Haley has a single overland now, advertised at...
  2. Anyone towing a travel trailer?

    My thoughts here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/first-time-towing-my-airstream-with-the-gladiator.17072/
  3. 1st time JEEP drive review by a non JEEP guy

Yes, but you can get it in black or body color and with or without a headliner. Hardtop is pretty quiet, though some have an annoying whistle (like mine). My JL didn't but JT does so I'll have the dealer look at it. It's usually a rubber gasket that isn't seated properly.
  4. Jeep Gladiator Wayout Concept in Gator Color

The thing I really like about this is other than the fuel tanks and modified hard top to keep the RTT lower (which isn't really necessary), it would all be easy to do to a Rubicon. 2" lift, 37's, drill a couple of holes for the on-board air and the rest is all bolt on stuff. You could easily...
  5. Any JL Converts on Here?

The jt is a little smoother but doesn't handle as well. No easy freedom top panel storage inside the vehicle (bummer). I use the adaptive cruise quite a bit (wasn't available last year on the JL). Pickup bed is useful, I have a utility trailer I used with the JL but not as necessary now. Jt...
  6. Any JL Converts on Here?

Yeah, I told one of my buddies that I took it in to have the windshield replaced and had them add the bed while it was in there. He didn't believe me.
  7. Any JL Converts on Here?

Yup, traded the one in front for the one in back on the one year anniversary of buying it.
  8. How well are they really selling overall?

If they're giving that much incentives on it, it means nobody is buying them. If there aren't incentives on the Gladiator, it means people are. However, incentives and sales price accounts for market factors, msrp and invoice don't, that's what the manufacturers set the price at. So msrp to...
  9. Trail map to a worthy successor for my truck.

    1. There are aftermarket options that are just as good, but will not be covered by warranty unlike the Rubicon, and by the time you pay for installation you won't save all that much. At least not enough to void the warranty on the diffs and axles imo. If you want lockers, go Rubicon. 2. If...
  10. How well are they really selling overall?

I understand a little better now - but there are a few puzzling things in there, such as why you want a diesel half ton and why you think 2200rpm on the highway is a lot of rpms on a motor that can turn 6500rpm. It barely knows it's on at 2200rpm. And I'll save you the time, the soft top will...
  11. Anyone wish it was called Scrambler?

I kind of wish they'd given it a new name... That said, it's a little closer in spirit to the comanche than either the scrambler or gladiator. 4 door mid sized off road SUV spawns a separated bed pickup...
  12. How well are they really selling overall?

Rubicon msrp is 43k, invoice is 40k. Every single truck you listed above is more expensive, and only the raptor and power wagon are equivalent in terms of base off road equipment. How are you getting more truck for the same money when every single truck you listed is MORE money, especially if...
  13. How well are they really selling overall?

How much are those full size trucks with twin lockers and 35's? Ever look at the base cost of a 1500 ram v6 tradesman 4x4 with crew cab? It's 2-3k more than the base Gladiator and can't tow or haul any more. If you're going to compare a full sized truck, compare one that's comparably...
  14. Alright, whose gladiator and what's the story?

How do we know he didn't swerve to miss something or get cut off entering the construction zone? Everyone is assuming the trailer fish tailed due to overload but I find it somewhat unlikely due to being a construction zone where speeds are lower and sway not usually an issue. I'm guessing some...
  15. Winch Plate Compatability

JL and JT front bumper area is identical. I bolted the Rugged Ridge JL winch plate from my JLUR with steel bumpers onto my JTR with steel bumper and it fit exactly the same, complete bolt on with no modification needed.
  16. Off-road camper options for the Gladiator

Less is more, throw the bare minimum and go for a day or two. Then when you're there and think to yourself "I really wish I had X right now" write it down and bring it next time. Anything you didn't use, remove. Then do a longer trip and see what happens. After doing that 2 or 3 times...
  17. Off-road camper options for the Gladiator

That's awesome! East coast seems dominated by white box campers that are all about maximum size and amenities. There seems to be a lot less interest in exploration and boondocking here.
  18. GVWR

The axles are slightly wider and have larger brakes along with the gears, though I think the overland gets the bigger brakes by default.
  19. GVWR

You're right, they're upgraded, or "heavy duty" Dana 44s. Sport s max tow gets heavy duty wide Dana 44s and 4.10 gears with bigger brakes, which are essentially Rubicon axles minus lockers. I think they'll offer those on the overland eventually, and at some point may become the default.
  20. So you think you Plywood, Bro? 4190 club

@Jake may be able to explain, but I believe this is the origination of the plywood meme. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/possible-bed-problem-with-4x8-plywood.10172/
