I also do this but use 2oz bottles and try to fill up when I'm at around 1/2" tank when possible. I also changed to a large glass mason jar to hold the small bottles so they don't stink up my cab. Fits perfect behind the rear seat.

I love my 2023 Rubicon FarOut Edition because it's a Diesel. Not because the few extra stickers and FarOut badge.
I bought mine brand new in April 2024 for $20k below MSRP. That came out to just under $58k.
I have a Tuwa Shiprock half rack, a Roof Space 2 tent, and a Truxedo Sentry CT tonneau cover. It all works and fits great.
The tent is pricey but great quality. It has an aluminum case that is flat and strong enough to stand on so no issue with mounting solar on top. It's 9" tall so pretty...
I just looked up the current tax code and you are correct! Looks like CA no longer gives you a tax break for trade ins. Not sure when this changed.
Figures. This state is so broken.
EDIT: My below post in not accurate. CA no longer offers a sales tax break for trade-ins.
Not sure what the sales tax code is in all the states but in California, you do not pay sales tax on the trade in amount. That alone can influence wanting to trade in a vehicle instead of selling it.
Purchased one of the last 2023 Diesel Rubicons (Farout Edition). Purchased in May 2024 from an out of state dealer in Oregon.
MSRP: $77,135 (crazy price)
Paid: $57,852 (25% below MSRP)
Loaded except for the color matched top. Also came ceramic coated.
Might have been trying to open the glovebox so they could get to the star connector behind it. That's how thieves program new keys and steal Jeeps and Hellcats. Only takes about 90 seconds once they plug in their tablet.
Yes. I was camping at Alabama Hills in California. The mountain range is the Eastern Sierra Nevada. The tall peak in the photo is Mount Whitney which is the highest point in the contiguous United States.
That shadow that looks like a body line going across the lower part of the door scared me. I have a set of brand new OEM half doors from a 2023 Wrangler that I've been saving for when I buy a new 2026 or 27 Jeep. I've been hoping that they do not make any visible changes.
