There are a lot of rigs here in Australia with the batteries under the tray. Sealed AGM batteries dont mind it under there. In-fact, they like it there because it is a lot cooler.

Fair comments in there mate! I totally agree with most of them, but realistically, with where utes are going with price at the moment, I think the price is not too bad. Dont get me wrong, I still think $83k (on road) for a Raptor and $82k for the Rubi is highway robbery!! But with the prices...

I have heard that said a lot in various places around Aus ... that the Gladiator it just too expensive. But I am tipping they will sell like hot cakes to start. I am not sure of the longevity ... maybe mid next year when they bring the better priced Sport S.

I dunno ... price is not too bad, high, but in the ball-park of what others will rip us for! I reckon I'll wait and see what happens in about 6 months. Look to get one for summer. What are your thoughts?

I worry about Jeep closing too ... most of the sales have been Grand Cherokees! JL is just far too expensive at nearly $75,000 for a stock JLRU!
