Maybe the Chevy S10 interior was just very similar.
I'm not positive about the transmission, but I'm pretty sure is was a GM 3-speed automatic. Again, with the 2.8 liter V6, it was the same as the S10 pickup and S10 Blazer.
EDIT: Looking online, it appears AMC used the Chrysler Torque Flight...
The 4.0 wasn't available until 87. I owned a 1986 Comanche for 21 years. (Sold it when I bought my JT.) That Comanche had the "upgrade" engine which was a Chevrolet 2.8 Liter V6. Jeez did that engine suck. And yes, my Comanche came from the factory with a Chevrolet Engine, Chevrolet transmission...
I've never had this problem with remote start. Whenever I use it, all that cold weather stuff comes on automatically.
I never had any problem with the engine or steering either. Maybe my JT is a Unicorn?
Still skeptical. I would be thrilled if these new Inline-6 engines were actually available in vehicles on dealer lots. But I just don't see it happening.
There's something uniquely cool about an Inline-6; gobs of torque, smooth as butter because it's inherently balanced, amazing durability and...
I don't have any picture to post right now, but I have the Rebel Off Road full-height rack with the table mount. I really like it. The rack is extremely solid. I have a Tepui Hybox hard shell tent. I keep it mounted during the spring and summer. I took it off last fall.
I got a big discount on...
Off topic, but I'm a fellow veteran with "issues"...
ArmyMP, I don't know if you've reached out to the VA and I don't need to know. I just wanted to share that the VA is finally getting their act together when it comes to mental health services. So, if you haven't reached out, I would strongly...
Those "Deer Whistles" have been around for decades. I've never seen anything convincing which suggests they actually work. At one time, somebody sold a "Bug Whistle" which was supposed to keep bugs from splattering on your windshield. One of the automotive magazines did a toungu-in-cheek test of...
Glad you and your JT are OK.
Colorado has been installing animal fences along roads and Interstates with overpasses and underpasses for the animals to cross. I was skeptical, but by golly, those things really work! My friend's uncle lives in Kremling Colorado. He said he used to see dead, large...
Ford doesn't benefit from dealer markup. Ford benefits from volume sales. They want more than anything to sell as many Mavericks as possible. As with many other vehicles, parts availability is the problem. If parts availability was not a problem, Ford would be selling record numbers of the...
Hmmm... The sound system in my Sport S works extremely well. It's not the top of the line, but it does have the sub woofer. I can plug in my iPhone and stream Apple Music flawlessly. The microphone works fine. All I have to do is say, "Hey Siri, play Jackson Browne" and within seconds "On the...
Just dropped my JT off this morning for the recall. By the time I got to work I had a voice mail telling me it was ready for pick up. Took less than an hour.
I was going to point out the same thing. I was at a Ford dealer recently and the MPGs listed on a Bronco window sticker were pretty lousy. That Bronco was a Sasquatch edition. While the Wrangler and Gladiator are less aerodynamic than a cow, I think they weigh less than a Bronco. Having seen a...
I'm still skeptical about the Inline 6. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Inline 6 engines. I just don't think Jeep will be able to get the MPGs necessary to be compliant. That's why they went away before.
I have yet to see anything credible confirming professional labor is required to maintain a factory warranty.
I regularly see Rubicon takeoff suspension parts on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist and the price is always around $200.
The problem with expanding foam is it absorbs moisture. In a vehicle, the foam can easily become waterlogged which creates multiple problems. And I doubt expanding foam would be much of a sound deadener.
It's already been discussed over and over that the electric grid will have to be improved as electric vehicles become more common. You know, just like more gas stations had to built as gasoline vehicles became more common.
Annuities? Man, I looked into annuities and decided it was like buying whole life insurance.
I helped my SIL apply for a very basic credit card and she was denied. I suppose we could keep trying.
