The aftermarket filter will meet or exceed factory specs. And they cannot deny a warranty claim because you have an aftermarket fuel filter. It's literally against the law. Manufacturers cannot require their own parts to preserve a warranty.
My take is you're getting way too wrapped up about...
I have been very impressed with my alignments from Les Schwab Tire. The technicians really know what they're doing. They have a very modern, laser-guided alignment rack. And they let me watch and ask questions while they're doing the alignment.
Sorry if I shared this story before, but it's a good one. In 1970 my family inherited my grandfather's house and moved in. Shortly thereafter, we got a letter at the house addressed to my grandfather. It was from the Aukland, New Zealand Police Department. The letter explained they had in...
I can see it from multiple perspectives. Just as buying a Buick contributed to building a factory in China, buying a Subaru contributed to building a factory in Lafayette, Indiana. The money doesn't really stay anywhere. It moves around. Yep. It's a global thing.
I'm a US Navy veteran and I'm very patriotic. I really don't think your description of "patriotic" is accurate here.
Consider Ford and GM have factories overseas. They buy and sell foreign brands all the time. Thus, when you buy a Ford or GM vehicle, you're helping to build or renew a factory...
Your last sentence reminds me of the service manager at the Jeep dealer in Hampton, VA years ago. She was way young and way hot. But wow, that poor woman knew NOTHING about Jeeps or any other vehicle. I bought my wife's XJ there and really grew to hate the service department. They outright...
Well, since you asked...
- No doubt about it. The TRX is a way cool and completely badass truck that almost any real dude would love to own and drive
- To me, the TRX is a like a super car in truck form. Not really practical, but a lot of fun
- As mentioned, the sticker price, cost for fuel...
Haven't seen any mention of age for those surplus tires. As tires age, the compound becomes harder with less traction. Tires older than ten years really aren't safe for the road. I know most people completely ignore this, but it is a safety issue.
Strange. I've done multiple oil changes on my Gladiator. The oil filter is a paper cartridge up at the top center of the engine. You can un-screw the housing and yank it right out with very little oil dripping. Wondering if the technician actually started the engine with the oil filter and...
Per Oracle, you don't have to make any changes to the computer when swapping factory halogens to the Oculus LED headlights. I didn't make any computer changes and my Oculus headlights work great; no flickering or any other issues.
I did a lot of research and ended up going with Oracle. I don't know about now, but when I was looking, every other headlight option required using janky spacer rings. The Oracles were the only available option which were the correct size for a Gladiator. And now Oracle has a heated headlight...
Complete, total and absolute BS. Requiring dealer brand parts to preserve a warranty is specifically prohibited by law. To void the warranty, the dealer would have to prove the oil filter caused a failure.
I recently signed up for Apple Music. It's really spiffy! As first, it sounded really good; way better than Bluetooth. Last night a friend of mine changed the Settings for higher resolution audio and now it sounds even better.
Although, I have tried to play music that isn't available on Apple...
This is a big advantage for the Oracle headlights. I went with the Oculus for my JT because all the other aftermarket headlights were smaller and required a janky ring adapter. Too bad I didn't wait. Those heated examples would be nice here in Colorado.
- Credit unions aren't always the most competitive when it comes to interest rates. It varies a lot between different credit unions. (I've never seen the best rates on Mortgages at credit unions.)
- Dealers make a kickback when they sell a loan. So, they have an incentive to find you a good...
