    Foam is a good idea. What was the result? Is the outer skin of the tailgate rigid? Will it deflect inward if leaned against? Thank you for your reply.

    $800 does not bother me, the flexing of the tailgate skin does....a lot. They need to include the proper size stiffening bracket on the back of the case to replace the one that gets removed. Once they do that, the can have my $800. I love the idea of it!

    Pressing the fob against the start button is a feature to enable you to start your Jeep even if your fob battery is dead. It sounds like it is acting exactly like it should. Just replace the fob battery.

    Can you explain the difference in the current latches and the new dual release latches? I know about the potential freezing issue, but dual release sounds different entirley. I am planning on ordering a smart cap for my gladiator soon, but I may wait for the new latches to start shipping.
