Pretty stoked to be able to snag these today. I’m going to get them wired up this weekend. They have hi, low beams and a running light. Harness is really nice, but I’m going to cut out the switch. Comes with a 5 pole relay and a tap for the running light.

Would be interested in info after you have them up and running. I have some Harbor Frieight lights on my cowl currently but they are showing some wear after 4 years.

I've got my eyes on these as well. They don't have them at my local Harbor Freight though....

Hooked up to the harness just to test. Holy hell these are bright. My goal is to wire them into one of the aux switches and then have the high/low activated with my headlights. Does anyone know the best tie in point for those? Drl, low, high?

Their app doesn't show them yet, but the website does if you go directly to it:

6 LED
4 LED Spot/Flood Combo - these look really cool, almost go them instead but liked the hi/low feature
4 LED Spot
Harness with 5 Pole relay

they did have to get them from the back, they weren't on display yet.

I'm sure in like 3-6 mos these will have a coupon or be discounted.

You're probably not going to be able to trigger them with your headlights.
The CANBUS looks for specific parameters and your new lights are going to draw amperage and voltage above what your headlights already draw.

so my understanding from this wiring diagram is that these newer headlights are fed with a 12v from the main relay (higher power) and the lights themselves are triggered via the high/low beam wire (white/gray and white/beige). i was planning on tapping the high beam to trigger the relay's high beam. operation would look like:

- headlights off, aux 1 off = only the running lights
- lows on, aux 1 off = headlights & running lights
- lows on, aux 1 on = lows on, running lights on, fog/low mode on
- highs on, aux 1 on = highs on, running lights on, fog/low mode on, high spots on

i'm just using the gray/white to trigger the highs, the rest is already just on the main 12v + aux. that seem right? i also saw some mention on the JL forums of using a diode on that line so that the light out detection stuff might not have an issue.

I'm no killerwatt guru. I just know that most new vehicles go into Chicken Little mode if things go out of parameters in the CANBUS.

@Hootbro or @ShadowsPapa are who I direct my questions to.

Not sure where you got the idea the headlights are powered via a relay - but there is no relay I'm aware of. they are powered through the BCM - Body Control Module - through the "driver" wire which goes from BCM to lamp assembly.
Exact wiring will depend on LED or halogen as far as sensing and such - usually a board at the light with a fault sense wire if I recall correctly without digging deeper.
Have family here from FL and am setting up a whole new computer for my wife and I here and as our old system was over 10 years old - holy cow, what a nightmare
(the new Microsoft "New Outlook" sucks)

I feel your new Microsoft anything pain. I used to be good at that stuff. Now I just want it off my lawn!

I think he means (or maybe hope he means) that the new lights he is installing will be on a relay, with the + side of the relay coil seeing voltage from the headlights. The relay coil draw is, in theory, not enough to upset the grumpy computer.

correct, the headlight is just the signal side of the relay. the current is all coming directly from the battery, or the aux line.

From the schematic of the relay, pin 85 shouldn't draw full current since its not connected to the light itself. pin 30 is where the battery connection needs to come from (or AUX1) and that goes to 87a when "off" and 87 when "on" (85 trigger)
