I just installed this bumper on my Mojave last weekend. I can confirm it does come with a steel winch plate, and an aluminum skid plate, which I installed for the weight savings, as I also added a winch.
If using the included skid, you will need to remove 2 small brackets on the front of the...
My Gorilla glass cracked in two spots from the cold last month. I used auto start and when I got in hear two pops. Both were low near the defrost vents. Never had that happen before in any vehicle.
Fortunately the cracks are low, well below my sight line, but when I decide to replace it I won't...
Yes, sorry I posted my experiences with them in a different thread.

Short version is I think they're great. The ride is the same as stock, and the...
Good explanations. OP I saw the same sort of results on a long trip I recently took where temps ranged from -5C to -43C. The fuel economy took an absolute dump in the colder weather.
I might be able to help out a bit here. I have previous experience with bfg KO 31x10r15 (Cherokee), Interco TrXus and Duratrac in 33x12.5r15 (TJ), Falcon Wildpeak 285/70r17 (JT) and Cooper STT Pro 35x12.5r17 (LJ).
I'm over the fat bulging tire look and wanted something more practical this...
They have been great so far. I'm heading from Vancouver to Banff this weekend and it looks like the whole province is getting hit with a fresh storm so that will likely be a good test.
They're really great tires. They make me wish I'd gone narrower on my previous Wranglers. The steering feels more responsive now, and snow/off road handling handling has been fantastic.
Hopefully you like them too ?
255/85r17 Baja Boss ATs mounted, with a side by side comparison to the stock Wildpeak ATs (mind you the Wildpeaks are under load with approximately 10k Kms)
I'm very happy with how these turned out looks wise, and so far the steering feels lighter. I'll be getting the transmission/speedometer...
Those Baja ATs on the stock rims look amazing. I've been waiting forever to get a set of Toyo AT3s in 11.5 wide and have been considering these now. I've been looking around for pics. Yours may have sealed the deal. I'm done with wide tires too.
It fit the stock Mojave skid without cutting anything? Interesting! I guess I'll just have to order it and see how it goes. Nice score getting it for free. I'd be very interested in which skidplate you go with and seeing your finished product
You are correct, it is steel, just a different colour. I guess I'll have to see if the one included with this bumper covers what the current one does and make a decision.
I appreciate the write up! I had noticed the finish wasn't great in some photos and was thinking of painting it before it went on. I don't really care about scratches, but I'd like to earn them at least.
I plan on adding the same Warn winch you did but I don't have the electronic swaybar...
Sorry, I realize this is an older thread, but I'm seriously considering this bumper for my Mojave (I know there will be some cutting to accept my skid plate). Do you have any long term review/thoughts on it?
I appreciate the pics! In the end I found a clamshell style RTT I really wanted so I ended up going with the overhaul to get it over the cab. Fortunately the RTT profile is only 6" so it's still quite streamlined.
Ah okay great thanks. I'm undecided between the outpost and overhaul. I'd prefer to have the compact outpost but an awning at proper height was also a consideration. Pics would be appreciated.
