    That material isn't very conducive to the kind of adhesive that decal material has. I have seen a couple people make things for that spot but I feel like they wouldn't adhere permanently.

    It’s really no big deal at all. Takes 10 minutes at most and gives you a nicer end result. It’s the more finished way to do it. Also makes working with the decal easier because you don’t have them in your way.

    I generally use a tape measure off the bottom of the hood with the decal positioned with painters tape to adjust, then use the center hinge method to apply after it is lined up. That method is shown here: https://www.pixeldecals.com/shop/Install-Instructions
