The early Black Friday deals have hit: https://www.northridge4x4.com/pages/deals-and-promos
TeraFlex, Pelican, Rancho, Method, Rock Slide Engineering and many more brands have started their deals early.
And of course there are more deals to come in the next couple weeks.
Easiest way to remember it is the 7-11 rule.
Minimum 7 wraps for steel cable and 11 wraps for synthetic.
Exceptions: Warn says their Zeon winch with synthetic rope can go down to 5 wraps on the drum.
We won't install used gears. It is too big of a liability if there is a failure.
Highly doubt any other higher-profile shop will install used gears either because of the same....liability. Maybe there are some out there that will, but is it worth the risk when new gearsets are not that...
They're listed as Rubicon and non-Rubicon.
I've got an email into Steer Smarts to ask what are the actual differences. Though it's SEMA week, so it might be awhile to get an answer.

The stock aluminum steering box seems to handle the 37s well enough. The steel boxes will be better, but they are still undersized for bigger tires.
What...
For value series winches, our most popular winches are the Warn VR EVO series, with the EVO10-S being the most popular for the JTs and JLs.
The are designed by Warn and built overseas to compete against other lower-priced overseas built winches.
Warn VR EVO 10-S...
Yes, as @CrazyCooter mentioned above, PSC has their Big Bore box and that is definitely the way to go when you get into 37+" tires.
It truly is a game changer. The steering feels much more controlled and @CrazyCooter is correct, the ram takes a lot of load off the steering box.
PSC makes...
That would be an unsettling thing to come out to in the morning! ?
